Pokedex Entry: Riobone the Proximity Pokemon || Known for their sensitive perception to emotional aura in the form of waves, Riobone attract themselves to individuals with a strong sense of loneliness or unbelonging.  However, as a result they're also susceptible to separation anxiety and do not pair easily with new owners or pokemon if not socialized young.


Misc. Information:

• The burn on his eye and nick in his ear were caused by the illegal riolu fight ring he was found in when he was still a stray pedigree.
  • Jester is reserved with battling, and lashes out aggressively due to combat trauma on rare occasions, which was also the cause of his timidness.  As a result Zachariah avoids using him for solo battle whenever he can for therapy reasons, but has been working on Jester's aggression against punching bags using positive reinforcement.  In regards to battle with another pokemon to lead beside him, Jester has a better time playing nicely and only does as much damage as the foe would.
  • Outside of combat, Jester is often seen curled up in a soft blanket since its similar to the feeling of a pokeball's safety for him.  Sometimes Zachariah has to take him to work because Jester has mild separation anxiety.
  • Given he's a little over three years old, the trauma caused from the fight ring is most likely to be the source of holding Jester back from evolving.  Zachariah speculates once Jester does evolve to second stage, the final stage will likely follow after quickly if he has one.
• He is extremely sensitive to a person's mood, but is less shy to react when its Zachariah, and has come to learn the comforts and discomforts of his trainer well.
  • Jester will not remove his skull in the presence of strangers, and Zachariah won't cater to their curiosity either given he's the only one allowed to handle Jester's skull or bone.
• Given the few years spent in a true home, Jester has been taught how to make basic foods like boiled eggs for a quick snack, and pour himself kibble for lunch when he's left home alone.  He always looks forward to dinner, in which Zachariah doesn't fail to deliver, even if it's at midnight through a service.
