History:
Benjamin was born in Village Bridge in Unova. A tiny town with little to do, curious and active Benjamin soon became bored of the quiet town. It was a feeling felt overall by all the younger kids and adults of the village. Most moved away to bigger towns, most became Pokemon trainers to travel and avoid staying stuck in the village. Those less fortunate quickly became antsy and unhappy, trapped in their tiny village. This included Benjamin who, with his group of like-minded friends, would eventually turn to small acts of vandalism and rebellion. A graffiti here, a public mess there, spending the night in an abandoned building. He and his friends soon garnered a certain image, but not that it bothered them.

Years went by, with little happening, with Benjamin and his friends slowly accepting their fate. While they enjoyed Pokemon, the idea of traveling for badges or the league didn't appeal to them. The only major event in Benjamin's life was when he found his Pokemon, a wild Pidove that had been sick with an ear infection for Arceus knows how long, and who had been picked on by stronger, bigger Pidoves in the village. With no Pokemon Center in town, Benjamin traveled to the closest one to get the Pidove the treatment he needed. Although the Pokemon had feathers missing on one wing and was left with a head tilt due to his infection, he had recovered plenty, and for Benjamin, it was love at first sight.

One day, the decision came to him, just like that. A calling in his soul, a longing in his heart. He took his Pidove — who he affectionately called "Tough Cookie", or just "Cookie" — and some of his belongings: and he hoped onto a train as a stowaway. He had made a clean break, telling no one where he was going or what he was planning to do. He needed to find his own home, his own place in the world.

He continued to travel this way for a few years. He reached Reignsrest thinking it might have the home he is looking for, but so far, he hasn't found it. And with The Nothing prowling at night, he has been stuck in Rivertide, bringing back memories of his home at Village Bridge. He now copes with the memories and his anxiety by doing petty thefts and tormenting random Rivertide trainers.
