Personality:
A history buff. He enjoys reading fictional history novels and a daily dose of coffee. When not nerding out over history he's doting on his roly-poly pokemon, The General. He received them as a graduation gift from his mother. James takes them for frequent walks and outings to try and combat the pokemon's habit of eating anything and everything edible (and sometimes inedible) in sight. Though he'll deny it, he's been caught napping and snoring away with the General on warm afternoons. James and his companion, the General, volunteer at the pokemon daycare on the weekends. James plays his bass to help soothe and entertain the pokemon there while the General plays a nurturing role to the younger pokemon if they allow him.

History: After completing core education, James moved away to a college in Brookfell. All in the name of making his hard-working Mother proud. When he got there, he realized that he had no real direction for what he wanted to do with his life, so he signed up for the core classes and simply tried to do his best. It didn't take long for him to get distracted with a clique of friends who had a band. He joined up as their bass player and genuinely enjoyed his time there. His classes began fall to the side in priority which caused his grades to slip, but it hardly seemed to phase him. He was too wrapped up in his group of friends even partaking in some of their recreational practices, folding to the peer pressure with hardly any resistance. He was heading in a bad direction and fast. In a bittersweet twist of fate, a phone call changed his life and dragged him back from the brink of no return. He was told his mother was sick and would need for him to care for her full time. James rushed back home to Grovehart to do just that. He picked up odd jobs to keep a roof over their heads and food in their bellies, doing everything he could to help his mother fight through her illness. In the end it was too much for the elderly woman and she passed away. The only thing that kept James from spiraling into similar bad habits of his past was The General. The pokemon that his mother had gifted him when he graduated grade school. With someone depending on him yet again, James strove to land a lasting job and perhaps make friends to fill the void that loss had left him.

Physical description: James is active and physically fit. He tends to wear his medium-length hair down and/or under a beanie unless at his night job where he'll slick it back into a nub of a ponytail. Green eyes compliment his copper-like skin tone. He has grayscale feathered wing tattoos that cross his shoulders up to his neck and down his arms just short of his wrists. For casual wear, he favors well-loved (read worn) jeans, oversized sweaters, hoodies, graphic and plain t-shirts with low collar and v-necks. For work or special occasions, he'll wear dark jeans; a proper belt; a button-up with a tie. As for accessories, he has a few braided cord bracelets and a stud in his left ear.
