A private man, not much is known about the founder of the prestigious cybernetics company known as 'The Elysium Group'. There are still a few things on public record that haven't been expunged, but you need to dig pretty deeply in order to find it. Before building an empire around High-End Prosthetics and Cybernetic Enhancement, Diego started his early career as a Bio Engineer based out of Wintervale. Married to his first wife, Frieda Riker, they had a child and lived rather comfortably before his work took over his life. Some.... major differences in opinions and world views led to the eventual breakup of the family, and Diego disappeared to continue his work in Rivertide.

With the recent outbreak of Nera, and the implications that they bring to furthering Human Enhancement beyond simple Cybernetics, his work has taken a wild shift. His obsession with the progress of humanity has seen him divert resources over to the study of Pokemon and Nera, taking advantage of the current situation to profit and enhance himself and his followers with little hesitation... or moral guidance. Leveraging influence and the use of the company's prosthetics, The Elysium Group is gathering as much as possible when it comes to Nera. Extortion, Blackmail, Torture, Bribery, Manipulation, Espionage, Theft... you name it, they're using it.

The use of "Alter Agents" (Those under their control, willingly or not) has seen a bountiful harvest of Nera which has mostly been siphoned up to the elite in the company. The board at the top is hungry for any rare or powerful Nera they can get their hands on, and Diego directs them wherever he wills. The spread of the Nothing is considered a challenge, and the other side of the coin of power. While researching Nera to take advantage of them, Diego is hoping to use the Nothing to get rid of his competitors. A clean disposal device, and one he can banish opposition to without fear of investigation. (So far.)
