History:
Vivian was born and raised in the center of Groveheart, their life has always been surrounded by the likes of technology and plant life alike, but it hasn't been until much recently that they truly got to enjoy it all. Their early life was a struggle for both themself and their mother as they struggle to go paycheck to paycheck as prices increased, but they made do. Taking notice of the popularity of their home city in that of tourism, a plan started to form to help make ends meet. Little knick-knacks, miniature paintings, maybe even a necklace or bracelet that might be a bit flimsy, anything that might attract a tourists' gaze, this is what Vivian and their mother started to work on in-between days of work and school, and it work out well! As time went on, their crafts kept getting better in quality, but Vivian strived to do more than spend their days managing a small tourist shop -not that there was anything wrong with it- they just felt like something was missing...
That was until a quick channel-change on the screen while working their shift in-shop that they found the thing they'd been missing. The flashing lights and elegantly dressed contestants, the coordination between trainer and their pokemon was amazing to watch, such so that it led to the store's customers having to wait for the very distracted Vivian to attend to them. Since then, it has been a part-time obsession and countless hours were spent researching and watching countless broadcasts from Reignsrest and other Regions a-like: taking note of the outfit designs, learning recipes of poffins and pokeblocks, and soon picking out a favorite being that of a certain contestant and her Alcremie.
Though a few things happened in 2002 that affected Vivian's life for better or for worst. It wasn't immediately after the explosion -probably a few months afterward- that they had found alone wisp wavering down a shaded alley. They were a bit cautious, if not nervous, of the slightly glowing orb as Vivian took careful steps towards it. Of course, they had heard about what these were -Neras- having popped up all over after the accident and what they were able to do. Vivian had seen people who had come in contact with these orbs before, they knew what would happen if they would reach forwards and touch it, they shouldn't, but a voice in the back of their head broke their resolve. It didn't feel like anything at first, just as if they were still reaching their hand in the air, but suddenly the hair on their head felt heavier, and some even fell into view. Slightly panicked now, Vivian made a rush to grab their bag -that for some reason felt even heavier than when they had left it there- and ran back to the safety of their home. Hurrying up the stairs, much to the confusion of their mother, and locking the door behind them into their room, is when Vivian had finally noticed the irony of their situation. Alcreamie. Of course, the Nera had taken from an Alcreamie. Not that they were complaining too much, but of course, fate had done this to them. Oh, not to mention the poké-surprise that decided to finally poke his face out of Vivian's bag, the yet-to-be-named Flick tilting his head in dizzy confusion from being thrown around in Vivian's mad dash home.
That day had certainly changed Vivian's future plan for sure, having accidentally acquired her first pokemon and a Nera in one go certainly does something for a person, but nevertheless, a few things are for sure. The first being to start connecting to their new starter, and learning a bit more about how to be a trainer than per se a contestant, but things like this take time and maybe a bit of babying in the form of cute knitted sweaters for the former street-mon.
