History:
Born and raised in Brookfell, Reaver made his living being tougher than the things around him - at any cost. He got in with the people that could give him what he needed, and stepped over those who couldn't. He worked for anyone that could pay him and offer him the chance to become stronger, and over many years he and his partner pokemon became a name to be feared. He 'fixed' things for those that didn't want to dirty their own hands, and truly lived up to the ridiculous name his parents had given him.
After the nera outbreak his employer saw fit to strengthen his employees, obsessed with obtaining power and control over the situation in Brookfell, and forced Runerigus DNA onto Reaver. The shock of it prevented him from fully rejecting it, and before he knew what was really happening it took. When that same man went after his Charizard for a similar experiment, Reaver perm-fused from the emotional distress and anger as he fought their way out of Brookfell. They took to the skies and relocated to Wintervale, doing their best to avoid detection and start a new life more or less. Unfortunately for Reaver trouble is hard for him to avoid, and his skillset makes him a valuable asset in a very specific kind of way, so he got roped into trouble regardless.
He lives in Wintervale now, unable to escape living in the shadows no matter how hard he tried to leave them behind.
What your Character May Know:
Your character, if they're from Brookfell and were alive during the last 10 years, may have heard of his name or Alias in the criminal circles as an enforcer or "fixer" not to be trifled with. He made a name for himself solving problems with violence that spread quickly and often solved problems before he had to get involved, and it's possible his name would precede him in those circles. In recent years he would be more of a myth than a threat, as he no longer lives in Brookfell and doesn't run with that crowd anymore.
If your character is from Wintervale, they may know of him because of the Charizard he keeps. It is a very unusual shiny charizard,, with thick and plentiful plating along it's body from a genetic mutation - hard to miss due to his coloring, size, and weird appearance. It's possible he'd be seen around, and characters could have stopped to gawk at one point or another. Likewise, Reaver himself is pretty strange looking, and he knows he makes a lasting first impression.
Personality:
Much like a poisonous frog, one might assume Reaver attempts to look dangerous to ward off those that would make his life difficult. Much like that same frog, he is just as poisonous as he looks, and if the warnings he puts out are ignored people find that out the hard way. Prone to violence, he doesn't stop to ask questions if people push his buttons or come at him with ill-intentions. He doesn't take to playful joking with strangers, and comes across as a sulky, brooding man upon first meeting him. One that isn't afraid to break one of your bones to make you go away, if need be. Not afraid to goad people into a fight for his own amusement, he can be incredibly annoying and standoffish around those he has no interest in whatsoever.
Under hundreds of complex and thick layers, resides something akin to a good person, or at the very least the outline of one. He is selective of the people that get to see this side of him, and guards it carefully.
