Most characters won't know much about Dain at the start. To many, he's an average guy just trying to get by in Brookfell, a fixer with a bit of a reputation, but only to those in his circle. If your character is part of team Cynic, they may recognize his name or description as one of the organizations recruiters. which can mean many things depending how deep into The Know one may be.
