Nera- N/A

Partner Pokemon: Murkrow (Nickname: Vi)

Appearance:
Auster is a pale-skinned and stern looking man, his long light-and-dark green hair very obviously pulled back and tied behind his head at the neck in a rush to keep it out of his face. His features were sharp, which along with the stern look that often rests on his face, gave him an air of seriousness that carried in his choice of clothes. He wore a brown collared button up, pristinely matching the messenger bag strapped across his chest. There was neither a speck of mud nor a wrinkle on his clothes, as he meticulously made sure during his field studies to keep his look as well as it was when he left his dorm.

Background:
Inspired by the Pokemon Professors around the world, Auster found the nature of pokemon much more interesting than the aspects of battling. In his hometown of Groveheart, he would often find himself carefully observing the Grass-type pokemon that he would find in the forest around the city, and his fascination with them drove him to study them with greater dedication once he became a young adult. This was only supplemented by his parents, who were botanists famous for their floral arrangements in nearby neighborhoods. With the backing of esteemed botanists and a fascination with Grass-type pokemon, in his studies he was diligent, his field work being his secret favorite among the many things he had assigned to him.

Though, on one of his field studies, he was inspired by the strange flora of Sylvangloam and had decided to study some of the plant life there. He wished to study the relationship between the odd plant life and the native pokemon, but ended up being attacked by a pokemon. It was a gangly pokemon with aspects of pastel-colored mushrooms for hair and small eyes, with a odd smile instead of the pokemon’s usual sneer, something he would recognize as a Morgrem fused with aspects of a Morelul. He was caught off guard, the spores of the Morgrem released causing Auster to grow drowsy, and he almost succumbed to the drowsiness if it were not for another, similar Morgrem, exhausted, running in the direction of the ambusher. It was then that the sound of flapping wings could be heard, a black-feathered storm swooping by, and the fierce cries of Murkrow filling the forest. They attacked the Morgrem, causing them to flee, the birds in close pursuit. But left behind was one small Murkrow, a runt, caught by the spores of the Morgrem and very quickly afflicted by them. Auster would stumble to his feet, drawn to the small Murkrow, checking to see if it were well. He quickly brought the Murkrow home, doing everything he could to make sure the Murkrow was brought back to health.

Ever since then, the Murkrow had not left Auster’s side, despite his many attempts to return it to its natural environment. Now unable to return the Murkrow, Auster had taken to tending to it, even letting it stay in his room, a space he deemed important for focus and his studies. That is without mentioning the trouble that the Murkrow (which he later came to name Vi) would bring to Auster’s doorstep. At the beginning of its new life, Vi would steal a lot of things that it took interest in: small, shiny trinkets and baubles that she could easily make away with. After many times of being reprimanded by Auster, she ceased the stealing. At least, the more expensive stuff that would be missed.
