I see... I suppose I was just so used to how some people and management can usually be in art spaces (and how my mind usually takes something at face-value) that I never thought that there WOULD be capacity for such a change for such a big thing (I blame past experiences with closed species and their often horrible moderation practices). I'm thankful to hear that things are, indeed, flexible and not as immovable as I had thought.

In the end, as I am now, I feel like things could've gone over much more smoothly if I DID express how I felt more clearly at the time. Unfortunately how I felt with my bigger fear of authority as a result of past experiences back then kept me from doing so. It's really reassuring to know how much kinder and more understanding y'all are compared to what I'm used to, and it really is a breath of fresh air. Really, thank you for the kind and understanding response, it means a lot to me!

I'll take some time to think things over and process it all. I feel better after having heard this all and talked with y'all, so it's just a matter of figuring out stuff.
