Tech Support | Don't Laugh

Project Psyduck had not gone well thus far. It had infact, gone very badly and Honey was now staring intensely at the code infront of him. Three pokemon all surrounded him, a pair of mimikyu's fondly referred to as six and seven alongside an oversized Meowscor who was far less fondly referred to as Poffi. Six and Seven were both for once being perfectly behaved, they sat quietly in his lap as still as can be but the same could not be said for the Pokemon that could dwarf Honey in size. 

 

".... Furi." Honey said quietly. "Please get Poffi off of me." They were lounging across his entire back, nearly causing the younger man to crumple underneath their weight. A sight that only made their owner begin to laugh. 

 

"Aw come on squirt, don't be like that! He likes you. Besides, you've been staring at that for too long give yourself a break." Furi chimed out only to be shot a rather nasty glare. It was sometimes funny how closely Honey resembled his pokemon because as soon as the orange haired brat glared at him both Six and Seven also glared. The Zorua and Noibat fusions were far less intimidating but they really all gave it their best efforts. 

 

"That, Furi, is because I should have got it to work! Ugh. Just. Hold on." Honey squirmed in his chair, eventually pushing the purple pokemon off his back who snickered. They debated on whether or not to just let Honey go but in the end their large pincers wrapped around the younger trainer and picked him up. Hoisting him into an air where they yelped and hung limply. Six and Seven both tumbled form his lap onto the flooring before darting forward to nip and bite at Poffi's legs but they were rather ignored. 

 

Honey was flabbergasted as he dangled so uselessly but he gave up on even pretending he had a chance to get away from this poffin stealing fiend. "Listen. So I should be able to point at an object right?"

 

"Right?"

 

"And it's supposed to tell me what that object is alongside any additional instructions attached to it. Right?"

 

"Right." 

 

Honey pulled up the screen of his TD and went to Project Psyduck where the view of his camera was displayed. He looked around for a moment before landing on a book that was sitting on the desk he was in moments before. "Tin Tin, What is that book?" He asked out loud and on the screen a circle wrapped around the book to highlight it. So far so good- then it spoke.

 

"That book is, a book."

 

Furi burst out in laughter at hearing the mechanical voice of Tin Tin. "I mean- Come on squirt." He echoed out in entertainment. "It's not like it's wrong! That book is indeed a book." He pointed out only to earn an annoyed growl from Honey who fought within the hold of Poffi. 

 

The Meowscor didn't mind the sudden fight and instead just pulled Honey in for a comforting hug as they clearly were upset. It did however, further upset Six and Seven who began to yap and squeak more upsettably up at their poor trainer who was clearly distressed. 

 

"It, is very wrong Furi!" Honey squeaked out "Don't laugh at me--" Their voice cracked and Furi's laughter grew even more pronounced while color rose up in Honey's face. "It's supposed to tell me the name of the book and in the case of that book, tell me that it isn't very good! Just telling me oh yes. The book is a book does nothing." 

 

Slowly Poffi sat down on the ground where Six and Seven quickly climbed up onto him- the both of them scrambling to get up to their trainers face who was still huffing and puffing. "I'm sorry I'm sorry... I just can't help it." Furi apologized half heartedly and picked himself up off of the couch he had been sitting on before. "Let's take a look at it together, okay? See what's wrong with your code?"

 

That earned him a stare that could kill arceus himself. "Ah, because you know code like this?" He asked and Furi gave a small shrug. 

 

"I code color changing shit with lights all the time, how hard can this possibly be?" The answer was hard. Much, much harder. To work with AI and pull information from specific databases was nothing like a simple color shift. In the end it wasn't furi who was laughing at Honey, it was Honey was laughing at Furi.
