It's just Business [Side Hustle]

The day was cold, as it was any other day and while he was tired of being outside in the cold, Ahimoth had to face the facts, he decided to set up shop on a bad day. Not that he needed to stand outside like an old-fashioned stall seller but he found that it did help others to browse his wares. While the cold nipped at his body, Snatcher seemed to be enjoying it, sitting near Ahimoth and not really moving toward other humans or pokemon for that matter, he just observed them with glowing eyes and his arms laying out in front of him. This was going to be a bit of a boring day it seemed, though Ahimoth turned to Snatcher with a bit of a smile. The pokemon turned to look at him, there were no thoughts that could be read on his face, and Ahimoth let out a bit of a sigh of his own. 

Ahimoth had started to venture into the waters of Wintervale, though he was extremely careful as the cold of their area could easily cause frostbite on anyone that wasn’t used to the cold or aware of how bad it could get. He never got to dive too deep into the water and always trusted Snatcher to go into the deeper depths that wasn’t dangerous for him either. That’s what he had displayed recently to see if he could entice some of the citizens and even tourists. He smiled when a few came by finally, to check out the stall that he set up, and he hummed in their directions.

“Welcome,” He greeted a bit awkwardly, he still wasn’t great with people, considering the hurt and pain he’s been through, but… well that was alright. So he continued. “You can see that I have some new shells from the lakes here in Wintervale as well as some of the other items that you can fish up or scavenge from here. They all come with their price,” he explained, moving to pick one up and show it off to those that were looking.

This shell resembled what an omanyte would look like, though it had a bit of discoloration on it due to the cold and thus the shell seemed to almost take on a crystalline look, and he smiled at the surprise that seemed to be placed on a few of their faces. “These are authentic, I don’t do anything to them to harm the value or change the way they look, other than clean them of course. This here,” he pulled it out to show them with a bit of a chuckle. “This is a razor tooth, it’s used in some pokemon evolution.”

Snatcher snorted a bit as Ahimoth continued to show off the wares, and making transactions, he was proud of his trainer for being able to harvest such a talent and he did get something out of it as well. He got great food and a good place to rest as well as to swim in cold waters, cold or hot that didn’t matter to him. His tail swished a little and he would communicate with any other pokemon that would approach him and chat with him. It seemed the dull and boring day was giving away to an eventful one at least. As Snatcher looked up toward the sky, being able to see what looked like big clouds that had started to roll in, he frowned and gave a call toward his trainer.

Having just processed another sale, Ahimoth turned his gaze up to the clouds as well and frowned more to himself, “Seems like we’ll be closing up shop so we can get home before the storm hits huh?” He sighed, gathering up the shells and other things, placing them back in a rather large case that held each one so they wouldn’t bang against one another or crack and break. With them all put away, he hit a button on his stand to watch it fold up and compact into a small item. He was glad of the advanced technologies they had and thus he turned to Snatcher who stood up from the ground and stretched his arms.

“At least we made a good profit today, even though it was colder than I had expected. We might even order some food for the two of us, once we get back to the house and unpack these items so I can put them back up for display.”
