Cleaning up Snow [Risky Resupply]

“Seriously, how does something like this get lost? Are you… ugh, fine, Fine. I’ll go to the location but this better not be dangerous or you’ll hear from me, and you won’t like it.” Ahimoth threatened the other person on his TD, his eyes narrowed at the call with the stranger, it was one of Blackthorn’s assistants, that much he could tell. They didn’t seem happy with his attitude either, but when the call ended he turned to look toward his main pokemon partner, letting his pink eyes soften and an annoyed sigh leaving his lips. “Once we get some coordinates we’re going to have to go and get a shipment back for the professor. Well… fix whatever the problem is. Let’s hope it’ll be something both me and you can do in Wintervale.”

Snatcher huffed a breath, and stood up from his position as well, his eyes showed he wasn’t happy either, the two of them were hoping to just get to relax that day, and he was sure others were probably called to help with the shipment as well, it wouldn’t make sense ot just call on a singular person, after all. Snatcher was ready and he walked to the door and waited on Ahimoth to get ready and they could head out.

Ahimoth frowned at his companion, he must want to hurry and get it over with ,Ahimoth did as well. He pulled on one of his larger jackets to protect against the cold, water bottles, and some food for the two of them just in case. He also placed in his bag some hot hands to use if his hands got too cold and he was ready and packed with the other necessities. Bag slung over his shoulder, he walked out of the house, he’d need to invest in a hovercraft or something soon, but instead he grinned toward his partner. “Do you want to walk there, with me riding on your back, or do you want to go up in your ball and let me travel by car?”

He wasn’t happy when his pokeball was presented but Snatcher sucked it up and touched his nose to the pokeball instead, answering Ahimoths question. With Snatcher safely tucked away within the pokeball, Ahimoth thus turned to call a car to take him to the coordinates. It was quite a bit away in Wintervale, he leaned back in the seat, seatbelt on and he closed his pink eyes. It seemed like only for a little bit had he drifted off to sleep.

But aggressive shaking of his shoulder caused his eyes to stir open, and his hand to grasp the poor mans’ shirt as if he was going to beat the hell out of him. “Y-Y-You’re at  you-r d-destination!”

As Ahimoth gained his sight and barings, he found himself flushing just slightly in embarrassment but he got out of the vehicle. “You should remain, taking care of this shouldn’t take too long, Snatcher is pretty strong.”

Ahimoth walked away from the confused man who kept the meter running, while Ahimoth walked down the pathway a little bit. Seeing what looked to be an avalanche - a pile of snow mostly - he sighed more to himself. They had some workers dealing with it already, but Ahimoth shook his head and moved to bring out Snatcher. His pokemon stretched and yawned, looking down at him expectantly. “Let’s help clear this snow out of the way so the vehicle can pass.”

Snatcher and Ahimoth both approached the huge pile of snow from the opposite side and began to scoop it out of the water, Snatcher was able to take big arms full and put it to one side, as did Ahimoth in a much smaller quantity. They kept shuffling back and forth, the workers on the other side seeming to be taking a break since they had help. Ahimoth wanted to grumble, but he also figured they were probably tired at the same time. With an annoyed breath, he looked over to Snatcher, if only his pokemon knew a decent water move like scald or something this snow would be nothing to worry about!

They could see a small opening being created from Snatcher’s efforts and Ahimoth patted his back to let him know he was doing well, as Ahimoth went back to moving the snow around as well. Sweat trickled from his brow, and he could tell that Snatcher was getting tired. It took them quite some time, probably an hour or two to completely clear the snow for the vehicle to get through. The man operating the vehicle gave Ahimoth a smile.

“We’ll make sure to tell Professor Blackthorn and the assistant that contacted you so you can be properly awarded for your efforts! Thank you for helping, you have no idea how important these supplies are.”

Ahimoth nodded, though he wasn’t happy, he turned from the vehicle as it took off and walked back toward the one he had told to stay there. With a huff, he put Snatcher back into the pokeball and sat back in the car, closing his eyes as he did so and rested his head against the back of the seat. “Take me home, please.”

The man nodded and put the car in reverse so he could turn around, and started on the pathway that would lead to Ahimoths’ apartment. Some of these jobs need actual professionals to deal with, not citizens like himself.
