Crystal Willow Park
They were finally allowed to venture outside of their homes, they could walk along the snowy paths and head to the city at their leisure, they were able to talk to one another in the harsh cold that surrounded Wintervale. Though Ahimoth didn’t mind that much, he was more than happy to leave his home, to go out and look around and explore. Usually he wasn’t one to take in the local fauna of Wintervale but at this point, Ahimoth was ready to get out of the house and do absolutely anything else but sit around and watch the television, play with his shells, or spar with Snatcher!
Before they left the home however, knowing that it was getting a bit warmer and that meant that the cold WIntervale was known for it would subside just a little, Ahimoth still went and got himself some appropriate clothes. He wore a fuzzy jacket that was black in color over his muscle shirt, the jacket came down a bit below his hips. Before Snatcher was allowed to leave the apartment, he also got a few warming garments placed on him. While he knew Snatcher could handle the cold better than he could, he didn’t want to take the risk of his companion getting too cold to move, or even sick without being properly cared for.
With both of them bundled up, they left the apartment they lived in and walked down onto the sidewalk, usually covered in a slight frost, it seemed to have melted away to make traveling a bit easier. He pulled his jacket a bit tighter, zipping it up to keep the warmth inside, gloves on his hands, he walked down the sidewalk with Snatcher at his side.
As he walked down the sidewalk, he sighed more to himself at the cold that bit at his face, the fin-like ears he had shifted and moved a moment, his head turning to look toward a park that he was coming up on. Deciding to take a detour, he walked into the park with a hefty sigh, letting his pink eyes look up toward the large trees that towered above him. The long vines that dangled down and tried to brush against his body, as well as Snatcher. Ahimoth smiled when he found a bench to sit down, sitting down there, he moved his white hair out of his way so he could better take in the sights. They were indeed beautiful since he was taking the moment to enjoy them.
They sparkled against the natural light that filtered down through some of the clouds, glistening and shimmering with each shift or wave of wind, and each one was different in shape, they weren’t all the same, each hump or bulb was a different size or shape as it depend on how they looked when the frost overcame them. He turned to look at Snatcher, who seemed to be admiring them for a moment as well, since Ahimoth was taking the time as well. He shook his head after a bit of time, and moved to stand up. “Come on Snatcher, I think they have some new plants put on display this way.”
Ahimoth walked further down the park, parting ways with some of the Crystal Willows, as his shoes crunched against the frosted ground, and Snatcher’s claws pressed against it as well, Ahimoth looked toward him with a grin of his own. “Make sure to look out for any misplaced flowering plants. We wouldn’t want to get in trouble for harming the flowers they’re trying to cultivate here, now do we?”
Snatcher seemed to huff, flaring out his nose again and swaying his tail behind him, but he did manage to keep up with Ahimoth regardless, stopping now and again on their way, as did his trainer, to look at the flowers and admire an that may have had some blooms. The beautiful flowers that were seen more in Grovehart or Rivertide were nonexistent here, but just because there weren’t beautiful, flowering plants, didn’t mean the fauna they did have wasn’t beautiful in its own right.
The two of them were nearing the end of the park now, and Ahiimoth turned to take one last look at the large Crystal Willows, his smile growing a little the more he thought about it. “I wonder if anyone has made some miniature ones like bonsai trees one could keep in their home? I’d love to have one inside of the apartment. Though I wonder if their requirements would be a lot?” He asked more of himself, since Snatcher couldn’t understand him entirely.
The two of them left the park, Ahimoth placing his hands inside of his coat. He had the idea of what he wanted to do, but not exactly where he wanted to start or even where he wanted to go.
