Training with a Dummy

Ahimoth had left the house that day, leaving Snatcher there alone, he did give him some suggestions of things he could do, and even set up a training dummy that would work and act like a real pokemon, but be unable to put out any harmful attacks or sounds toward Snatcher. It would be much like laser tag from the dummies’ perspective, and while Snatcher could use his moves, it was meant to be a little resistant to some of them. Snatcher had walked through the house for a bit, contemplating on what he should do. There were things he could eat, he could rest and sleep, get some of his strength back instead. OR he could practice against this dummy, part of him thought it would be useless, after all it was a machine, there was no way it would be challenging, let alone intelligent enough to stand up to his attacks or strategies..

Snatcher huffed to himself, well he wouldn’t get anything done just walking around the house, and so he stopped in front of the machine. He had been shown how to turn it on, but he frowned as he looked at the man-made object. IT was shaped like a human almost, and while he could appreciate that, it just annoyed him a bit more. Why should I use this thing? He grumbled under his breath, reaching his claw out to touch the on button. He knew why Ahimoth bought this for, there was no other pokemon that Ahimoth owns, and he couldn’t very well ask someone randomly to borrow their pokemon for a fake battle, now could he?

Snatcher had been instructed, and before he could touch the on button, he did as he was told before. While he was allowed to use his powers, he didn’t want to use them indoors and risk harming Ahimoths’ apartment and his precious items that he owned. So he took the training dummy outside and into the lawn of the place, where there were no signs saying battles were forbidden. Placing the dummy back down, he pressed the on button and listened to the starting dialogue of the machine. It explained how to choose a setting, and what type one wanted to go against. Snatcher decided he would train what he was weakest too, he could come up with some better strategies or ideas of what to use while he was training with this dummy!

Once the option was selected, the robot booted up to let him know that it was now time to commence their battle. Snatcher dodged what looked like a beam that went in his direction, and moved to go forward at a quick pace. He dodged to the left for another light that shimmered after him. The machine had him zigzagging toward it, which was an okay strategy at least, when Snatcher got before the creature, he chomped his mouth down against the wrist of the training dummy, but only got a small ‘shock’ in return and Snatcher jumped back from the sparring dummy with narrowed gaze.

It was like a static shock, so it wasn’t painful or inhumane, and so he readied himself again, launching at the dummy which moved out of the way, as the advanced technology within it was beginning to read Snatcher’s movements and calculating plans and counters according to the assumed data. The training was going well at least in Snatcher’s mind, he was getting frustrated with the bot, which caused him to be more sporadic than he had meant to be with some of his attacks and dodges.

He had been tagged quite a bit, but either way, he was willing to keep trying fighting with the machine, using his attacks but he was soon out of energy to use his movies, and instead relied on his physical traits instead of his energy. The robot seemed to detect the low energy rating and gave a few beeps or bloops in response, as if it was processing the data. The robot spoke, and Snatcher didn’t understand any of it except for battle over, that was all he heard.

A bit angry that the robot seemed to shut off and wouldn’t turn back on, he huffed more annoyed than anything. Ah well, at least he got a lot of training in and the thing should have some logistics stuff he couldn’t comprehend for his trainer to look over and read.

WIth the end of the training, Snatcher picked up the robot so he could enter back into the apartment and back up to the room. The clientele and other residents were used to seeing him and Ahimoth together, he was well mannered so thankfully it didn’t raise any alarms with anyone to see him walking through. Probably just questionable gazes and stares as to why he was carrying this machine back inside and to Ahimoth’s room.
