The Bullet Train...

The call was something unexpected of the normal residents of Brookfell, he had packed some supplies and was staying in Ethermoor for the past few days, waiting for the next set of instructions. What were they supposed to do, what were they going to do, all of it rung through his head, causing him to pace back and forth along his hotel room. The pacing was starting to make his Tatsugiri a bit nauseous, and so Temaki tried to pull on his hair, to touch his cheek, but nothing seemed to pull Haku out of the worry that filled his body. He had nothing but dread coursing through his veins, this was uncharged territory that was forever locked in a storm, it sounded almost as bad as Wintervale being forever locked in a snowstorm.

Kohaku breathed out and looked toward his phones, his eyes narrowed in thought, he could text someone, anyone, see if anyone else has been to this new city, but no, he knew better. Then others would know for sure where he was going and what he was doing. He was aware there were allies on the train at least, which is what he planned on taking. He was a bit too frail to trudge through a sandstorm, and he wouldn’t want to put his Pokémon through that. With another heavy breath, he went to the supplies he had packed, the worry showing on his face evident. He wasn’t sure about anything, and usually he didn’t do something he wasn’t half-way for sure of, at least.

“Better now than never,” he spoke up, Temaki letting out a cry in agreement, though he still wasn’t for sure, he was as ready as he’d ever be. He had a heavy duffle bag off of one shoulder that held mostly water and snacks to eat along the way, while he trailed a suitcase behind him that had some clothes. He was unsure how long he would be staying in this new city, unsure what all hardships that might come to face him. He wasn’t even sure of the community there!

He traveled through the city, the entire time he walked, he felt nauseous like butterfrees were flying around in his stomach, his heart ached with anxiety and his eyes would dart to and fro, the further he got from the hotel, the worse this feeling was overtaking him. His legs felt like they were puddy, hard to move and sticking to the ground like a gooey ability. Kohaku was struggling, and his shaking hand had placed itself on the terminal, he took a breath to steady himself, the train was just up ahead! Just a few more steps and he could be there, on the train to the new city, to the city cloaked in storms.

His throat tightened against him, swallowing was hard and it was almost painful, his breath was trying to leave him. He was more than nervous, and for a split moment, the semi-acquaintance he met flashed in his mind. Would Gabriel be heading this way  as well? Perhaps he could see him on the train and… well maybe they could chat?

Nah, there’s no way the Sanyatto fusion would want to be seen in public with him like that, even if the two were on the same team, surely Gabe probably had something more entertaining to do right now.

Well that was enough stalling, he moved his wrist over the terminal’s panel, letting a light flash as it scanned the TD on his wrist, before a Nosie was made and a check mark displayed on the holographic screen. The lasers that was keeping one from going through disappeared, allowing him to get to the train. His hand pressed against the metallic of the opened doorsill, and his eyes now looked at the strangers that were on the train.

“Here we go,” he tried to assure himself, making sure Temaki was still on his shoulder and that he had pulled his suitcase with him so it wouldn’t get jammed in the closing door. “To a new adventure, right Temaki?”

The Tatsugiri gave him a smile, fin raised as if she understood him, though she hopped off his shoulder and nestled on the duffle bag sitting beside of him, patting it with her fin. She seemed ready, more so than Kohaku was.

Welp, Kohaku has decided that he might as well be on a train with some team members he's never met, instead of out braving the Sands and trying his best to live>>
