Push and Slide
Not like Pesky wasn't up for the challenge.
But now that he and Kurai had gotten seperated, well he was not too happy about this all. And rather would've been somewhere else. Actually somewhere specific.
Home.
The sand was everywhere.
It was rough and irritating.
And it just got everywhere.
He groaned and kept going.
The sand was everywhere and seemed to want to ruin his visor. He could hear some noises. Quickly changing directions and sprinting forward. Haruki hung onto him more. Not as happy about the sudden energy. “HEY! HEYHO! HELLO!”
Pesky waved as he saw the figure emerge from the sand. Stumbling surprised as it was clear, that dude was far too small to be Kurai.
The man looked at him. Watching as the man with the eevee stumbled, tried to catch himself, waved his arms and shook. Then just fell forward. Catching himself, the eevee already jumping off to keep away from any damage.
Pesky rolled through the sand, then came back into a stand next to the man.
Huffing.
Then spitting out sand and groaning.
It didn't take another moment for him to just let himself fall on his butt. Haruki joining him, climbing up on his shoulder. The man watched him for another moment, adjusting his googles and kneeling down next to him. “You doing fine, lad?”
Pesky looked to him.
“You ain't looking like one who should run around here.”
“Oh you tell me.”
“I am.” he replied with a chuckle.
Pesky nod. “Oh yeah, but fuuuuck.” “So are you alright?” “I'm so fucking not fine. I got sand in my socks!” “There are quite worse places.”
“There are also much more preferred places.”
The man was quiet for a moment before bellowing in a hearty laughter. He pat Pesky's back a bit rougher than anyone anticipated and got up again.
Pesky followed his example. Letting Haruki chill more relaxed on his head, before he dusted himself off. A more than useless gesture with all the sand all around. “We really need to get to the City.”
A chuckle. The man looked at him. “Oh that is why you are here.”
Pesky nod and looked around, petting Haruki. “Let me help you.” A brief whistle and the sand parted close to them. The midnight lycanroc staring at them, as sand dripped down it's pelt. A brief gesture of the man, the pokemon quickly moving sand away.
Revealing a metal latch.
The path to the city, as far as Pesky could understand.
He looked to the man, as the door down opened. Before even able to look down and check it out, he felt a hand on his back. “Welcome to Thunderdale.”
Haruki squeaked surprised as they fell.
Pesky needed a moment to realize that this was quite bad.
Then he hit something sturdy enough to carry him. As he started to slide further and the place seemed to basically open up to him as the tunnel walls parted ways above him. He could see it was actually a slide and as Haruki held onto him in fear, Pesky started to laugh. Maybe that slide would end in a fucking horrible death, but if that wasn't at least a good way to go out!
He heard the faint shout of the man and waved back at him, as he flew on a pokemon to the city.
Bit of an idiot not using the slide.
Pesky stretched out his arms as there was a more steep fall and howled excited. Before Haruki pat his display aggressively. Making him look up. Seeing, and now also properly hearing, Kurai shout at him from the elevator that he passed. The slide made a few ways closely by.
Kurai waved and Pesky laughed, waving back. Just to hit his head on a sign that mentioned he just had entered Thunderdale.
Well that he felt pretty much now.
Continuing the slide, while Kurai seemed to already eye where he would land.
Then Kurai vanished from view as he sunk below the slide in the elevator.
Haruki pat him more. Pesky picked him up and held him close to his chest. The eevee calming a bit, at least not hanging on for his bare life.
He had luck the slide ended fairly save.
In a pond.
Haruki did not call that luck.
But it didn't matter, as Pesky climbed out with his pokemon and grinned. Pulling off his jacket and shaking himself. While Haruki did much the same, his fur poofing up into all directions.
“I thought I had lost you in the storm!”
“You did!” gave Pesky back, as Kurai finally was there and wrung out his jacket. “Well you did find your way.” “I found nothing.” Pesky looked at his pants. “Don't take those off.” “What?” “Not right here. Lets just find a washing salon.” Kurai grinned a bit. “You are such a prude.” “We don't want to make a bad first impression, now do we?”
Pesky scratched his cheek and then shrugged.
“And I mean, that was an adventure, wasn't it?”
Haruki growled at Kurai and climbed back onto Pesky's shoulders. Who scratched him and cackled, at Kurai's not very surprisingly sad expression. “It wasn't that bad.” “The slide was great. Desert is shit tho.”
Pesky looked at the city.
“Lets find that salon so I can look less like a wet lycanroc.”
Kurai blinked and then chuckled. “Yeah, lets go.”
SLIIIDING into the city.
Brief moment of Kurai
