I’ve been fighting to feel alive
But I could never find my alkaline
I might be laughing but I’m dead inside
Can you see through my disguise?
At this point I am too afraid to ask
What lies beneath this ominous mask
My hopes have always been down - so low
The sun vanished for me long ago
I’m just cheating myself, I just run and hide
