LITD - Cynic #1 || Kieran

Honestly, he was completely unfazed by what he was witnessing in Murkhaven. Intrigued, perhaps, but the amount of gore he had borne witness to in the past had made him pretty apathetic to the lights of these…fog zombies. Such a shame it was to be them.

Glass crunched under his boots as he walked up to one of the husks, so affectionately named. They should give them a bit more credit than that, right? Kieran simply smiled as he stared into their blank faces, pulling his foot away from the fog creeping closer. Disgusting. Murkhaven was entirely the most revolting place he had ever visited.

But alas, if Cynic wanted a husk, he would bring them one. Solanum was trotting along behind the poor, hapless husk, herding it towards the location Cynic had designated. Kieran looked disinterested in helping out Cynic, but it did have its connections. And connections brought in more money.

He had to admire how much the Fog had destroyed Murkhaven, though. Windows had most likely been shattered in the panic, and now there was simply no sign of human life in this town. Except, of course, for the people had chosen to venture here. Kieran hadn't really done this out of the kindness of his heart; he had just wanted to see it for himself.

And, well, he figured Corvus would get himself killed.

He has a habit of doing enough stupid shit to nearly die. Like, oh, trying to steal from me.

Kieran just smiled at Solanum. Of course, the Houndoom who had tried to rip Corvus limb from limb. Now the canine was just helping to push along some unknowing human who had been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He did wonder what exactly Cynic planned to do with the husks, as “studying” could mean a lot of things. Especially when Cynic was crowded with a bunch of criminals. However, Kieran wasn't worried about what would happen to the humans. After all, he had done a lot worse.

Kieran just casually whistled as he strolled the streets of Murkhaven, rife with the Fog and those who had succumbed to its grasp. It was noticeably hard to breathe here, and one could not stay in the city for too long. At least, not without suffering the side effects from the Fog. That was why he would do his job and get the hell out of there.

Perhaps he would stop by and make sure Corvus hadn't died yet. At the very least, the husks seemed harmless. The Fog, on the other hand? Far from it. And, surprisingly, he actually needed to keep his employee alive. He had some uses.

Kieran made sure to bring the husk to where Cynic had mentioned, avoiding even brushing up against it. To him, they weren't really humans. Just disgusting, if anything. Solanum glanced up at his trainer, who was already walking off. Now, where to next? Ah, yes, he did have other reasons for being here.
