Strolling through the forest was quite the past time.

Pesky had no idea why, but Kurai enjoyed their walks.

And the pokemon always enjoyed having a bit of a walk as well.
Well... neither Haruki or Thommy were walking. Pesky adjusted his backpack. Thommy chilling inside it. Enjoying the soft breeze tickling his nose, while the eevee was nestled in the trainers jacket. Chilling just as much. Kurai chuckled looking back.

You sure you don't want me to carry you?”
“Not yet.” Pesky huffed. Watching Avery stroll next to Kurai. Watching Haruki and Thommy with obvious envy of the most wholesome kind. Such big begging eyes.

But Kurai stayed strong.

He would not give in so easily.

Smiling as Pesky caught up and gave him a brief pat. “You going to be quite jacked when you still carry them after they evolved.” Pesky snickered. “I doubt Haruki ever wants to evolve. Sounds so exhausting. Right buddy?” He looked at the eevee, who chirped. Which turned into a yawn.

Both trainers laughing softly. Continuing their walk.

Avery quick to stay close to Kurai.

I thought maybe you'd want to grill this evening for us.”
“We don't have any meat for that.”

I- we could buy some...?” Kurai glanced down at him. Now trying to look just as adorable as his little spoiled baby boy Avery.

He wasn't pulling it off.

With what mon-”
Avery squeaked surprised.

Everyone looking to him. Thommy curling up more into the backpack as the normal type pokemon stared at a bush. Tail high, ears folded back.

What is it?” Kurai quick to move closer. Concern in his voice.

Avery squeaked again. Pointing at the bush.

A moment for everyone to see what had the small pokemon so agitated. Kurai careful to lift a few of the branches. Seeing the shuddering little pokemon pressed to the forest floor. Staring up at them.

Big eyes.

Ready to burst into tears.

Haruki yawned again, as Avery motioned again to the pokemon. Kurai blinking, absent minded he pet him and then turned his attention to the little yellow bug pokemon. “Heeey.” he hummed.

It scuttled a bit further back.

Kurai blinked and looked to Pesky.

Hey do you have something to snack?”
“Question if I have something edible for the little guy.” Kurai twitched his tail and rolled his eyes with a smile, Pesky already in the middle of unpacking. His attention back on the small pokemon. Hand going to Avery, pulling him close. Keeping him away.

Thommy watched his trainer rummage through the backpack, stretching. Haruki still snuggled close, not even considering moving. The grass type pokemon glanced to Kurai and Avery. Slowly walking over. Seeing the small bug pokemon. Twitching an ear. Chirping with a questioning glance.

Kurai smiled.

Seems like the little buddy is shy.”
Thommy looked back to it, slow to move closer. It scuttled further back. Kurai opening a hand, eyeing Thommy. “Lets not scare it more.” Thommy tilted his head, then sat down. Pulling the small leaf from his head. Holding it towards the bug. Seeing it shiver, stare at the leaf for a moment. Before Kurai could intervene the fusion had just placed it down in front of it. Huffing.

Pesky coming closer. “Okay I got poke treats. I got some wormpowder protein balls. An-” “Wormpowder?” “Yeah?” “Are those... are those the ones...you bought for me?” Kurai stared at the small pack of protein snacks. “Yes. Cheap and effec-” “Wormpowder???”
“You liked it.”
“Why didn't yo-”
“Shhhhhhh you scare the pokemon.”
Kurai blinked, sighing softly and nodding. “Right right. Sorry.” He smiled looking down at the bug pokemon, who had dared to move closer to the leaf.

Much to Thommys satisfaction.

Lets try the poke treats.” “Good safe choice.” Pesky nod and placed a few down. Pushing them towards the pokemon with a finger.

Maybe we just finish our walk and then come back later.” Kurai looked to them.

Thommy frowned and looked back to the leaf.
“We can collect that then again too.” he hummed, seeing the small pokemon stare at the treats. Quite intrigued but with every gaze it threw to them with a shaking body it was clear it wouldn't dare come out further than that. Pesky grinned, popping one of the pokemon treats before picking up Thommy. “Can discuss the whole grilling idea then.”
Kurai nod and carefully lowered the branches.

See you later little one.”
“wee-weet-”
