Kurai and Pesky hadn't been back in a few days.

After having made sure the Weetle would have all it needed, they had taken their path home. Relaxed. Argued about pizza toppings and who would have to clean the dishes.

It was always Kurai who cleaned them, but he didn't mind that much. After all he was blessed with food he didn't have to cook basically daily.

And while he was drying another plate the Weetle came to mind.

They had to check on the lil one again.

He was curious how well it was dealing with everything. Looking out of their small kitchen space to the couch. Kaleb and Haruki dozing sprawled out on it.

But no sign of Pesky.

He finished the dishes before walking out, glancing around the room. Quickly checking the bedroom. No one there either. And the bathroom was just as empty.

Honestly Kurai would've expected to surprise him there.

Especially when he played tic tac toe against himself in the shower, he often forgot about time. At least he didn't leave the water running.

If that made it worse or not, Kurai had a hard time deciding.

He looked back to Kaleb and Haruki.

“Now where is that goofster?”

Haruki yawned. Gave him a brief glance, just to then sprawl on his other side. Eyes closed. Legs stretched out over Kaleb as he returned back to sleep. Kurai sighed with a smile.

Maybe Pesky was going shopping?

He did want to visit little weetle. So he would just wait and prepare a little lunchbox. And so he returned to the kitchen.

“Come come.”
Kurai smiled excited, carrying the basket under one arm, Kaleb under the other. They all just were too slow. Pesky luckily had not much trouble keeping up, unlike the lazy bones they called their pokemons. Though Pesky would've let them just stay in.

Kurai wanted to at least have someone new to introduce to weetle.

They reached the spot where they last had seen each other.

Kurai quick to put out some snacks.
Pesky spreading out the picnic blanket. Yawning together with Haruki. “Oh don't sleep now!” “I think this blanket and the warm sun are perfect for that.” “It's so rude to just sleep at someone's doorstep.” “Oh as if you care, you just don't want to see the lil guy alone.”
Kurai chuckled softly, helping him spread out the snacks. “Yeah maybe. It's more fun if I can share the experience.” “Sappy sappy, maplesyrup happy.”
He looked at Pesky, who snatched some carrot slices for himself. “What does that even mean?” “What does what mean?”
“Sappy sappy, maplesyrup happy?”
“What about that?”
“What does that mean?”
“What does what me- EY-gnhh!” Apple slices found their way forcefully in Pesky's mouth. Kurai pressing his hand on it, making sure the idiot actually had to chew it. “Enjoying the snacks?”
The screen face lit up with a thumb ups.

Kurai sighing softly, sitting back and petting Kaleb. Who had found interested in a fishstick. Haruki on the other hand just sprawled on the picnic blanket, already asleep again. Kurai eyed him. “You think he is getting old?” “Who?” “Don't start with me again.”
“Maybe. He always liked to sleep.”

“Hmhmm.” Pesky glanced to him, munching on a scone. “Oh don't become sentimental now.” “Sorry, just.. well.” “Yeah Yeah, I know,” he dismissed it. Finishing his scone. “There is someone who wants your attention tho.” Kurai blinked, looking over his shoulder. Tail tip wagging excited as he saw the movement at the food. Leaves moving more.

And then poked a little head out.

That was not as little as before.

And looked quite a lot different.

“OH BY ARCEUS YOU EVOLVED!”
The noivern fusion had jumped and rushed over faster than even a skittish weetle could've run.

Haruki and Kaleb watched him.

Kurai smiled excited, watching the now bigger guy click it's mandibles excited. Shaking the tail and Kurai was quick to pick it up. “Heeyy! You evolved so big!” It wagged it's tail more and then looked to Pesky who came over. Haruki snuggled up in his jacket, while Kaleb sat down next to them. “Oh yeah that is a fierce evolution.” Kurai nod and chuckled. “I bet you already showed a lot of other pokemon what you are made off!”

“Beetibite! Bite!”
Kaleb and the Beetibite had caught eyes. Staring at each other.
Kurai watched them with an excited smile. “Do you want to prove yourself?” The beetibite seemed more than ready. While Kaleb twitched his tail.

Kurai smiled.

Putting it down carefully. Looking over to Pesky. “You think you could help it out?”
“You think it needs my help?”
Kurai chuckled and stepped to Kaleb. “Two against one is kind of unfair, is it not?” The beetibite seemed fierce, but it also quickly scuttled to Pesky. He let it climb on his hand and tilts his head. Haruki yawning in its face, still snuggled in his jacket. “So what moves do you got, lil itty beetle?” It rattled its tail at that.

Pesky looked over to Kurai who pet Kaleb, before looking around. “Lets head there! That space is perfect.”
“Okidoki.”
Pesky looked back to Beetibite. Quick to snatch a sandwich as they followed Kurai. “So you doing stuff with strings?”
Beetibite looked at him.

“That looks like a no. Hmm...” He eyed the little mandibles and stingers. “I bet you like offensive moves.”
“How long do you need still??” Kurai looked to them. Pesky waved, before placing Beetibite down. Making sure Kurai could not see his display. “Alright, how you show me what you know.”
Beetibite seemed confused for a moment, then there was colors and movements on the display. It looked at a bug. Spiderlike.

A green body.

And then that bug pokemon spit string. Beetibite watched it. Not responding much. “Alright another?” The bug pokemon bit its oponent.

That made the small pokemon rattle its tail.

Pesky chuckled.
“Ahh, so we are at the beginning.” The screen display showed more pictures. “How about tackle?” Another rattle.

Kurai watched the two and raised an eyebrow.
Kaleb huffing annoyed.

“Yeah they are taking quite a while. Aren't they?”
Another huff.

“I guess the little one has not as much in terms of fighting ability yet,” he mumbled, side eyeing Kaleb who almost seemed prideful, that he indeed had fighting ability.

“We are ready to crush your asses!” Pesky grinned, stretching his arm as Beetlebite scuttled forward. Facing Kaleb who got ready as well. Kurai smiling. “Don't be too sad if you loose.”
Beetibite rattled its tail and got into a ready stance. Pesky snickering. “Oh we got the home advantage.” “Oh is that so?” “Oh yeah! Let's show them a fight, Beetibite!”

Beetibite clicked it's mandibles. Kurai nodding to Kaleb. “Alright. Kaleb Spark!”

And with that the shinx fusion was rushing ahead. Lighting crackled along it's body.

“Evade and bug bite!”

It moved surprisingly fast. Dashing left. Kaleb having to stop and change directions. Kurai could see the electricity waver as he tried to adjust. “Ignore the attack, evade!” Kurai shouted. Kaleb reacting fast enough to not get bit. Quick to jump back.

Pesky snickered.

Oh yeah those two had a lot more practice.

They would react a lot faster.

He squatted down and let Haruki out of his jacket. “Quick, try another spark!” And there it was lightning up already. Pesky looked to Beetibite, who was ready to fight. To endure! There was no fleeing anymore.

Even if he could see the fear in its eyes.
“Use bug bite again!”
As they collided he could hear the yowl from Kaleb and was certain Beetibite was not feeling to great either. “Hold on! Yes just light that!”
Kaleb started shaking and growled.

Beetibite hung on his shoulder, not letting go.

Kurai grinned.

“Don't bother, Kaleb! Another spark will do the jo-!”

“Struggle! You got this!” Pesky shouted over him. “Just like I showed you!”
“Wha-”

Beetibite started wriggling and moving faster. Hitting Kalebs face with its tail. Scratching him and getting him distracted enough. Spark was all forgotten. Now he was just trying to get rid of his opponent.

The bug pokemon spurred on by the attack working. It's moving increased.

Kurai blinked as it kept scratching him and made him struggle to grab it. As he tried to bite down on it, the spikes just hit his tongue and it was clear he wouldn't try it again. There was no chance for him to concentrate enough for spark. Bone Rush wouldn't work either. It would need to much.

“Tackle the ground!”
Kaleb didn't even question it.

Throwing himself with full force onto the ground. Beetibite squeaked as it let go. The shinx fusion using his chance to roll off and get some distance. Huffing and growling under his breath. Pesky looked to Beetibite as it got up. “Got another round in you? The next move will win us the fight.”
The bug looked up to Pesky. More fierce than ever.

Chittering with angry nods.

“Amazing.”
“How did you teeth it that move so quickly?”
“Oh it wasn't the only one. Struggle bug is so easy to convey!” Pesky stretched a bit more. Picking up Haruki who yawned. “Alright! Bug bite!”

“Quick evade!”
Beetibite dashed forward.

Kaleb evaded with ease. He wouldn't get into another Struggle bug situation. “Perfect! Okay don't hold back. Bone rush will give it the rest!”

The shinx grinned.

Beetibite already turning around, looking at him. Ready to evade, but Kaleb wouldn't let it. Oh no! Lightning collected around him, quick to form multiple bones out of energy. Loosing all it's lightning but none of the color before he dashed ahead. Flinging the bones with turns of his head at the bug.

One hitting the ground close. The other on the other side. Not leaving it space to retreat but back. And another barely missing it. Hitting behind it into the dirt. Beetibite tensed up more.

Pesky grinned as Kurai looked over to him. Haruki's ear twitched.

Kaleb let the last two bones rush down towards the Beetibite. It could not evade in any direction anymore!
“U turn! Now!”

Beetibite bit down on one of the bones crushing it with force before it could make contact any other way. Getting flung back by it, the second bone missing its target as Kaleb blinked surprised. Beetibite landing almost expertly in Pesky's arms, who had made sure to catch it. Kurai blinking just as surprised as his pokemon. Looking at Pesky who grinned. Beetibite in his arms.

Beetibite.. in his arms.

“Kaleb evade fast!”

The pokemon looked back. Unsure where to evade to. Just to be met with Haruki who had used quick attack. Kaleb just barely stumbling out of the way. Haruki dashing past him. Stopping with ease and turning around.

“That's cheating, Pesky!”

“What? I had two pokemon, this is fair game. Sharpen! And another quick attack!”

“Kaleb Tackle and then Bone rush again! Don't let him get another attack in!” Kaleb dashed ahead. Haruki looked at him, twitching his tail. Pesky grinning excited as he used quick attack. Not even bothering with sharpen, just evading Kaleb's tackle with ease. Getting a lot of distance between them.

Kaleb turned around.
“Use the distance to your advantage!”

The electro ground pokemon snarled. Electricity sparking around him as Haruki used sharpen. Yawning. Which enraged Kaleb just the more. Rushing towards him.

Pesky smiled.
“Wait for it!” “Pesky what are you doing?” “You got this buddy!” Kurai blinked at being ignored. Watching Kaleb attack Haruki. Part of him feeling bad for letting him get a full hit in like this. So there had to be a plan and yet he couldn't just tell Kaleb to evade for nothing. And then Haruki evaded with another quick attack. Having not truly waited the whole attack time. He had used another sharpen. Neither Kurai or Kaleb had focused on it well. His nose still lightly glowing white as Kaleb ran into nothing. Not having any time left to evade again as Kurai shouted it. Haruki threw himself into his opponent.

Knocking him out cold.

Pesky jumped excited.

“YES!”

Quick to run to Haruki. Kurai doing the same as he picked up Kaleb. Who would be anything but happy, but he would recover well enough. A hurt pride was nothing. Pulling him back into his pokeball before looking to Pesky who let Haruki snuggle back into his jacket. “That was such a sneaky move, you lil bastard.” Pesky snickered and Beetibite chittered. “But it was pretty cool how quick the lil one learned, right?”
“Oh that was amazing! Beetibite did really amazing!”

Kurai came to them and smiled. Letting the bug pokemon scuttled onto his arm. Looking to Pesky with a grin. “But you mister are so gonna get your ass kicked by me at home.”
