The Arrival
Is there a hobby your trainer enjoys, perhaps a trail they like to travel upon? There is always a way to distract the mind both in and out of city life. Maybe they stop by a shelter nearby that fosters injured pokemon to take some time to play, or spend the afternoon reading up on the recent literature drops on how combees could ever take flight.
Draw or write your trainer doing what they can to pass the time!

The car ride with Klaus was peaceful. There were pokemon who were cuddling, a certain man who was petting at his face- really things couldn't get any better. It was almost enough for Salami to forget about his impending doom. Soon they would have to leave the car and enter a small down-town cafe. It wasn't suspicious from the sounds of it, considering what most of the cafe's in Brookfell were like this one was actually great! but that was just because one would think this trip wasn't under false pretenses- which it was.
The car was rolling to a stop and slowly the eyes of the fishlike magikarp opened to peer at the roof. He had been thinking this entire time about how he could appease Klaus when they realized that they weren't here for a date and he had finally thought up a solution. He would make them something special. It was a risky gamble, Klaus had the best food constantly and Salami didn't know how well he could compare but he might as well try~ Grinning up at the lizard-man he reached up to ruffle there hair before sitting up to leave. Scampering out of the vehicle before they might cause a fuss over the fact that he messed with their hair.
Looking at the cafe it was quite a cute little place, very quaint and hidden away with a bright golden leaf showing on the front. It was attatched to a chikorita and was a rather cute symbol for them. Small tables were out at the front and it was over-looking a rather deep gorge. Quickly Salami went to the other side of the car to open the door for Klaus. He had to give the best impression before they realized this was work after all~ well. With the exception of ruffling their hair, but how was he supposed to resist that?

The peaceful car ride was a falsely secure one, lulling Klaus into the same peace he was experiencing earlier with the gentle humming of the car they where in. He didn't even take notice of the cafe as they pulled him, simply focusing on the gentle sounds, the sound of Salami breathing, of Serrano purring, of Spicy chuffing happily, all of whom where snuggled into him some way or the other. It was truly the epitome of the start to an amazing date most definitely. As the car rolled to a stop, he saw the magikarp grin up at him, before he ruffled his hair and sat up, scampering out. Klaus had startled a bit, it was so hard to tell when the man was awake or dozing sometimes with his eyes being covered.
He stepped out after him as the other man opened the door, emitting an upset whine at a stray puddle nearly splashing him as he did so, so he tucked his pokemon fretfully into his back to ensure they didn't get their feet wet. The cafe was cute enough but too quaint for Klaus's tastes, the salazzle'd trainer used too much bougier, pricier places and just a glance at the menu in the window showed him this was way below his usual price range, but surely he was brought here for some exceptional reason. "It's... Cute." He said simply, trying to not seem too ungrateful, it's something he had been trying to work on with the other, who simply did his best provided his means. He couldn't help but lean partially into the hair ruffle, loving the touch more then he'd ever admit.

Cute was, not exactly the best word to describe this he might have hoped so, infact that was a red flag. There was a small laugh from Salami and his whiskers twitched a little over that. No, this place wasn't up to Klaus's standards... but it was where he was now. "I'll take cute~" He wouldn't take cute. Danger. Danger-- this was dangerous and Salami could feel the threat of ending up on the floor creeping up as he were to turn to lead them towards the building.
When the door was opened a little bell jingled and friendly eyes looked over to eye them. "Ah! Sal!" A rather elderly man called out and Salami grinned right on back.
"John~ Hello~" He hummed as if this was a very frequent occurance, which it was. John was a regular here afterall so they were both very familiar with one another. Beyond the round of hello's however they didn't go further, letting Salami lead Klaus in and bringing them to a little corner seat near the front bar. A front bar, which he smoothly slipped behind. A front bar, which had an apron hanging near it which Salami put on- a front bar, which Salami was now manning as he grinned at Klaus. A wide grin.
"Now what can I get for you today, my love?" he asked, hoping that his grin and calling them of a sweeter name might give him some bonus points.
