Is there a hobby your trainer enjoys, perhaps a trail they like to travel upon? There is always a way to distract the mind both in and out of city life. Maybe they stop by a shelter nearby that fosters injured pokemon to take some time to play, or spend the afternoon reading up on the recent literature drops on how combees could ever take flight.

Draw or write your trainer doing what they can to pass the time!

Faust

Klaus gave Salami a strong side eye as the other man's whiskers ever so slightly twitched, and the statement of 'I'll take cute.' was almost a red flag for him. Why did Salami bring him there? It definitely was not up to his standards and seeing as how he usually would pay, why would he be brought somewhere so borderline... Dingy? He stared intently at Salami, face souring when some old man opened the door to greet Salami, even more so when Salami greeted back. It was as though it was a frequent occurence, but the man definitely didnt seem to be the owner or an employee. He slipped in behind Salami now staring daggers into the magikarp's skull. He felt like he was hiding something.

As he sat on the questionably clean seat near the front bar he went to gripe about the lack of employees... When Salami slipped behind the par and threw on the apron dubbing him as such. The sentence he said next confirmed it and he knew he was going red in agitation, tears prickling at the corners of his eyes. "You tricked me." He said quietly, in a much calmer, quieter voice then the salazzle would usually use. A very dangerous tone for him. "I thought you had today off." He hissed, visibly prickling, eyes barely glancing at the menu as he made a even more upset face. They didn't even have the fancier stuff he liked at other bars - It was truly a lower rung place, with virtually no options to subsitute, no form of fancy whipped creams or cold foams or flavors beyond the basics and he crossed his arms upsetly. The chairs where uncomfortable, the cafe smelled wierd, his mind was suddenly finding anything wrong with it he could as his expression darkened further and further.

There it was, the danger that Salami had been hoping to avoid was brought to full fruition as they realized just what it was that was up. Indeed, this was not a day off, and indeed, he had tricked Klaus so that he could get to work on time and still spend at least a few more minutes with him. The Magikarp gave just a slightly nervous laughter at their quiet words and he could feel their rising unhappiness. It couldn't be that bad right?

Salami looked around at the cafe, it wasn't the most top tier place in the world, but it was clean. It had most everything that normal people would want- and it had a nice view outside. All things considered this was better than a lot of places! But it seemed Klaus was really quite upset by this all. "Ah... " He thought about it for a moment and were to tapped his fingers on the countertop. "...  I don't take day's off work?" He said a bit questionably before looking around. "Here, look." He reached down under the counter to pull out a small cake. Him quickly going to try and cover it with whipped cream and fruit, to bring it infront of the unhappy man. "You can have this for free! It's on me, and if you want a drink with it just tell me what and ill see about making it~" He just, prayed they didn't make the most obscure drink imagineable. Considering how dark their expression was however, it felt entirely plausible that they might try and make him miserable with their order.

Faust
To say that Klaus felt a bit betrayed and was upset was a massive understatement, the reddening and scrunching of his face said it all. He was huffing and puffing and all around getting more and more upset, and Salami's nervous laughter confirmed that he had more then expected that. He screwed his face up as the magikarp tapped around, and while he had made a point that he was never off of work and it just made him feel upset more. He looked around grouchily at the cafe, it was really simply basic, he supposed most would call it cozy, but he had come to associate such things with the houses of the poorer students he used to hang out with or the places they went when he was in school.

He only looked back when Salami told him too, a strong pout on his face even as his boyfriend whipped out a cake with extra cream and fruits, abusing his boyfriend's love of sweets obviously. He poked at it unhappily, staring at him upsetly as he said nothing before snorting. Ordering something basic was probably what Salami was hoping for but he just snorted, laughing dryly. "This run down cafe doesn't even have the flavors I like, you don't have to worry about a drink." He said bitterfly. It was a lie, he never said no to caramel, mocha, or vanilla, but he was all around wanting to be upset and he refused to be so easily appeased.
