Link looks up to Mera, and thinks she's cool. So when they went to a restaurant together, Link tried ordering from the adult menu to show how cool he is. However the adult menu does not have any food for pokemon in it, so to Link's distress he can't find his usual of Cricket Tenders. Link didn't think getting an adult menu through.
