“Snatcher, do you insist on rummaging through the fridge for something to eat, or can you find something already?”

The pokemon stopped with a huff, and walked over to his partner, surprised the apartments could fit them in it. He did sit down on the floor though, his sail-like ears tilting slightly with an irritated look upon his long snout.

“You don’t have anything here I want.” Snatcher thought, giving his partner an annoyed look.

Ahimoth tilted his head, assuming there was nothing in the fridge he wanted since his claws were empty. “Well, what do you want then?”

There was a moment of silence, as Snatcher seemed to think about how to portray what he wanted.

“Sushi, the ones that look like Gyarados, Magikarp, pyukumuku, and the little slowpoke tail things.” Of course, Ahimoth would not understand this, and the perplexed look on his partner's face told him that. So instead, he sighed and pointed to a picture of what looked like an ocean scene, the seashells the other collection, and seaweed.

Ahimoth arched a brow and furrowed them afterward. He couldn't entirely tell what his partner wanted, the hints were there, obviously. After taking some time, Ahimoth grumbled, "Mmm I could go for some seafood."

His response seemed to get Snatcher's attention, head bobbing almost as a nod, pointing toward the door as if signifying for them to go ahead and leave.

“Are we going to leave yet?”  He seemed to chuff in Ahimoth's direction, tail swaying impatiently.

“Yea, we're leaving now Snatcher, be patient. Probably going to grab us some sushi and then head down to the beach. See if I can find any of those shells I want."

Snatcher’s head tilted, exiting the building and down the stairs of the apartment with his trainer, though he had been meaning to ask the question and now was as good a time as any he supposed.

“What is so special about those seashells that you collect? Is there something special about collecting somethings abandoned houses?”

Ahimoth's brows furrowed and he turned to face Snatcher, eyes on him as well. Snatcher noticed the perplexed look on his face and looked around again. There was nothing that looked like seashells at the moment for him to point out, so instead, he grumbled, almost pouting that his human was too dumb to understand.

“I see, are those two shells rare or something?” he inquired kindly, stopping when his trainer did at the sushi store.

Ahimoth turned to look at the restaurant and held up his finger, so Snatcher could see it. “One moment, Snatcher.”

Ahimoth disappeared into the shop, coming out just about thirty minutes later to Snatcher being behaved. He held out the larger container for the pokemon, glad it wasn’t too heavy he couldn’t carry it. “There should be enough to settle that large stomach of yours, shouldn’t it?”

Quick to open the container, Snatcher started to drool a little and turned his attention back to his trainer. “Oh my gosh, this looks wonderful. I can’t wait to sink my teeth in, can I eat already?” He asked, as impatient as a child almost.

Knowing his pokemon well, Ahimoth chuckled out an answer to the inquisitive look Snatcher held. “No, you can wait till we find someplace to sit, the air isn’t as cold as it usually is.” Admitting that, he did walk a little farther, stopping at a poke park, he sat down on the bench and sighed mostly to himself. He opened his container and began to eat some of the food within, the sushi ignited his taste buds and his palette, eyes closing from the way the flavors danced on his tongue.

Snatcher was quick to dig into his now, finding a spot on the ground to sit as he did so, tail swishing back and forth and kicking up some dust behind him. He turned his eyes back to his trainer. “Are you wanting to discover some new kind of shell or something no one else has ever seen before? Is there an overall higher goal, or… is this just one of those odd things humans do for entertainment?”

Snatcher shoveled food down his gob, while he waited to see if the trainer would understand, but sighed lightly as well. It seemed that he wouldn't and he would need to find some way to tell him or ask him anyways. He looked at the sushi in his container, and there seemed to be no way for him to bring it up to his partner either.

Ahimoth smiled, as he thought about his shell collection back home since they would be heading to the beach soon.  “You know, I never thought about what I’d want to do with my life. But if I’m being honest, I don’t think I would mind being a type of researcher or something. Someone that studies the pokemon who live in shells can tell a lot about that pokemon depending on their shell size, colors, and patterns even. I think… that would be a really fun job.”

His trainer seemed to have so much passion when he talked about a possible job in the future, and he couldn’t help but grin. Finishing the food in his container, he stood up, dusting off what may have been on him, and shook his neck a bit.

“Then we’ll do our best to make sure you find all that you need to find. I love swimming and this gives me more of an excuse to be in the water.”

He felt rejuvenated, almost like a burning desire. As he turned his attention to his partner pokemon, he almost instantly knew why. A smile on his face, he moved his hand out to rub Snatcher's arm, his smile growing more with each pet of his partner pokemon and closest companion.

"I think with you by my side Snatcher, that goal will be more easily achieved than I'm thinking!"

“Then let’s get going, Snatcher(Word Count: 1,001)
