Mistakes had been made, there were so many mistakes that had been made and a slow hiss was coming from Salami's mouth. He was seated in the darkness of a cave for now, a large gash in his arms and he couldn't help but curse at his own stupidity. There were many types of injury this man has obtained over the years- and this kind? It was his least favorite because there was no one else that he could blame it on. He had been out walking in the quarries of brookfell when he slipped down off one of the bridges onto the ground before. It wasn't even a long fall, it was a very short fall and so had he landed properly he would have been fine! But he didn't. He fell, and his entire arm had been cut open and was bleeding.

There were some shards of rock and grit imbedded into the cut for the moment and staring at it Salami took a deep breath. His hands went to the bottom of his shirt and without hesitation he would tear off a long strip. Perhaps he didn't hesitate, but in many ways the sound of clothing being ruined was far worse for him than the injury itself. "I am so sorry, polliwog shirt." He whispered under his breath.

It had come from a job in an aquarium- and now it was ruined and he would have to go and buy another. What an absolute waste that was. Still though, it was a necessary sacrifice and he were to tie it around his arm before the wound. When it was secured he slowly reached down to start trying to remove the rocks from within the cut. It was a slow process, one that Salami had to be quite careful with as he didn't want to further the injury any more.

In a perfect world from this point on he would have begun cleaning the wound, clearing it of any bacteria and bandaging it up but did he have any of that? No. No he did not have any of that what so ever because he wasn't going to be doing anything dangerous. He had just been out to get a small treat for himself so outside of his wallet he didn't think to bring anything- "You would think that I might have learned by now.." he muttered under his breath before he let out a long sigh.

Slowly he were to pick himself up, stumbling as he did so and looking up at the bridge that he had fallen from. Could he climb up the wall to get there? Salami was deep in thought about this as he stared at this. If he climbed up there then he could get home faster but with another small glance at his arm he simply sighed and were to turn to walk down along the cave. No... He couldn't climb. His whole goal here was not to antagonize the wound any and running would have done exactly that.

It would be longer to get home, but less damaging and so that was his plan as he tried to figure out what it was he would do once there. Klaus would be at home, if they saw his arm like this they would worry so he had to make sure they wouldn't see it. Could he perhaps get in through a window? Axel wouldn't question it if he did but what if Spicy saw, they would bark at him to no end and ruin his cover.

Maybe, they would already be asleep by now? No, it was unlikely. His best bet instead would be to hide the injury. Looking down at his ruined shirt he slowly went to tear up another piece. It was already ruined, why not mess with it just a little bit more right? This time he began to have it wrap around his arm while he walked. He could find a new shirt before he went home, he would have to since there was no way that Klaus wouldn't come to see him upon his arrival back. So he'd just ruin this shirt in its entirety and find a new one.

The entire shirt was gone by the time Salami left the caves, wrapped as fake bandages around his arm while his eyes scanned the surroundings. He specifically went home through back alleys, searching for perhaps clothes that might be hanging up to dry outside in the poorer districts.
