Closing Early

There were many things in life that Salami had learned to do. If you needed coffee's made, items transported, for people to disappear or information to be gathered he was always available for any of it. If you needed to hire someone to guard somewhere for a week, to babysit a bunch of pokemon or help give medical aid he too would learn all of that without hesitation- but when it came to he himself as a person his growth had always been minimal.
Life was monotonous. He would wake up and go to work, from there he would work until the job ended and go to the next job. From the early mornings far into the night when it was often considered foolish to still be out he would work. Then he'd go back to wherever he had nested the night before and sleep again only to repeat it all. He didn't take breaks, and even if he got sick he ignored it to go to word. Taking a day off was never a possibility within his mind, but things were different today. Salami was staring at the clock, his fingers tapping on the table as he stared at it closely. He was at one of the cafe's in Brookfell for the moment, he worked in multiple but for a sunday night this was the one he was in- and it was dead.
No one had come in for the last hour and Salami couldn't imagine anyone coming in for the next fifteen minutes either. That was how long was left on the shift, a mere fifteen minutes. He'd told Klaus off and laughed at them even when they would suggest him leaving early, and he'd done that for the entirety of their time knowing eachother but... as he stared at the clock he couldn't help but wonder if it was really worth it. With their help his debts were slowly being paid off, and he didn't have to work as hard as he did if he didn't want to right now. He merely did it because this is what he had always done.
The fingers of the magikarp fused man slowly stopped tapping on the table as he stood up straight. If he didn't have to though, then why should he? Carefully Salami pulled away from the table, looking around at the empty cafe and hesitantly he walked towards the door, taking a hold of the open sign and flipping it around to be closed. Closed. Fifteen minutes early early he closed the cafe.
He would have gone home directly after that, but instead he just looked at the sign. He really had just closed up early, would anyone notice? Would anyone know or care? He could feel the whiskers on his face twitching in unease. He had never done something like this in years and it made his skin crawl. For a solid five minutes he stared at the sign before slowly he pulled himself away. Carefully he took off his apron and folded it up, putting it away and were to head out the back door to leave. He had closed the cafe fifteen minutes early, but he only left the building five minutes early. A difference no one would even notice except for him.
