“Alright Knight, I’m going to head out for a few hours. Stay here and try to be good for me alright?” Aeson smiled at his pokemon, his hand moving to pat the creature on the head gently. “I may buy you a treat if you’re good by the time I come home okay?” He smiled lightly, turning from his pokemon. Though as he started to leave, he stopped and looked back to his pokemon, sitting pretty with his tongue hanging out slightly and waiting. “Oh I have the washer and dryer on currently, so just ignore them if you hear any noise. See you soon Buddy.”

Knight’s ears folded down as his trainer let him alone in the house, a light whimpering noise leaving his maw. “Why did you have to go?” He pouted, and moved to walk around in circles for a moment. He was obviously bothered that he was left at the house alone, he was usually always with his partner, his trainer. They normally were never apart, unless it was for specific training or he got in trouble, which is very rare at that.

The house was lit by lights, shining down on the furniture, and the television was left on so it wasn’t as silent without his trainer there. It didn’t replace the ease that he got when his trainer was there, and the house seemed more like a giant jungle to him than a place of comfort. His ears tilted down, and Knight found his way onto the couch, curling up on it to fall asleep, maybe his trainer would be back by the time he woke up!

Swish… swosh…. swish….swosh….

This noise kept repeating itself and at first Knight ignored it as nothing, but as it kept repeating it sounded like it was growing louder, angrier with each cycle of noises. His fur bristled and Knight hopped off the couch to figure out what the noise was. He searched the rooms, his partner’s bedroom, the living room and kitchen. Nothing was making a distinct noise in those areas, and Knight snarled more to himself.

“There must be an intruder in the house. They had to sneak in when I dozed off. I’ll teach them!”

Knight was on a mission to find this intruder and take care of them, how dare they sneak into his house while he was off guard. As he trotted, he heard the noise again and what sounded like a beep almost, his ears perked up. What was the beep for? Heart raced in his chest, he was quick to run down the hallway, finally finding the area where the noise was coming from. This had those machine things his human used to wash clothes. He sniffed the door, a bit nervously at first, and the noise started again, causing him to almost jump back.

He pushed the door open cautiously with his muzzle, blinking a little in surprise as he stepped inside, paws clicking against the floor and his fur bristled slightly in warning. He stopped when he was in front of them, ears tilting down. The machines looked huge to him, and they were moving, clothes being tossed inside of one, while the other seemed to vibrate with the swish swoshing noise he heard.

Knight swallowed, and got a little closer to them, nose almost touching one as he wiggled in, sniffing the machine a little. He could smell soap and something lavender-like? He did sneeze, and as he sneezed the machine beeped again, and he barked at it, scurrying back away from it quickly. He was supposed to be a good pokemon, a defender and protector, yet this… thing didn’t look like anything he’s ever seen before!

He started to inch a little closer, nervously sniffing the machines again, as they did their cycles with the close and his ears remained straight up, his tail frisked every so often. He realized they didn’t seem to want to hurt him, perhaps they were peaceful water types? Maybe water-steel types? But they didn’t respond to him either. Maybe they were also more primitive than he thought? With a huff, he stood tall with a bit of a smirk. There was no reason for him to try and fight these machines then. All is good, and he could just curl back up in the living room now that a monster had been averted.

Knight couldn’t wait for Aeson to come home and realize that he had been a super good boy that day, he couldn’t wait to see what kind of treat he’d get from his partner either!
