SLoP: Getting Into Trouble
Aeson had left for the day, but Knight had been watching him and learning the more he observed. He figured out how the door worked, and where to step to get it to open! Knight has been sneaking in and out of the house for awhile. This time was no different and he was ready to leave after an hour had passed. He hummed as he walked to the door, using his paw to hit the spot his Owner always hit to get it to open. Once the door flung open, and he was greeted with wind against his fur, Knight was quick to leave his home and start traveling the streets of Brookfell.
His claws clicked against the sidewalk, his ears rotating to take in the noises around him. He was a good pokemon most of the time, he didn’t get into trouble, he didn’t cause mischief. But sometimes Aeson was too tired when he got home to take him for a walk, or to exercise with him. This is how Knight would get his exercise when his trainer decided not to take him with him on his outings. His tail wagged, and he had a few specific areas to stop at. He had a routine and it seemed some of the citizens of Brookfell were part of this routine walk of his.
First stop was an elderly woman at a bench, Knight walked up to her and gave a soft whimper, letting her pet his fur with her old, but soft hands. Her lips curled causing wrinkles as she smiled and squinted at him through large round glasses. She always seemed to brighten up a little when he came over to her, and he quite enjoyed getting the attention, he loved being petted after all, especially by gentle hands. He always sported his collar, which showed those he approached who he belonged to, the insignia on it being a tell-tale sign that Aeson was his owner. After several pets, Knight would go on his way when the woman got up to leave as well, and he would continue down the sidewalk.
The next stop on his way was a park, well if one could call it that. Sometimes good pokemon were released here with their trainers to have a good time. Knight had a few friends in the park, and he enjoyed playing with them and roughhouse. They were close friends of his, and the others didn’t seem to mind him coming over to play with those that he enjoyed the company of. Most of the time they scuffled on the ground, played tug of war, and chased balls when they were thrown. Normal canine things, he would lay and roll in the dirt here for a little bit, and dust himself off with a few shakes of his fur before trotting along his way.
The last stop he made on his routine was at a local restaurant, the owner knew him well as he always came by. He yipped and scratched at the back window that others didn’t use often, and smiled when the Owner greeted him. He got free scraps this way - mostly pokemon food that others wouldn’t eat, but he didn’t complain. He allowed himself to be petted and praised as he ate the food. Words that encouraged him and made him feel good about being an officer’s puppo. When he was done with his food, he picked up the dish to hand back to the owners so they could wash it well and reuse the dish for something else. This was his last stop, and when he strolled back toward his home, he found himself constantly looking up, trying to see the sky from their little hovels.
To get inside of the house, he used his paw to step on the hidden device - kind of like a spare key - and entered the house. He was careful to get dirt in places, and would just lay down on the rug as if he had been there the entire time his owner was gone. When Aeson would come home, he would greet him as usual, bark and hop at him with joy. Act like he wasn’t fed and enjoy all the love that his trainer gave him.
At the end of the day, as long as he was a good boy and didn’t cause any extra trouble for his owner, that was all that mattered to Knight.
He is such a spoiled dog, and Knight knows and flaunts that he is spoiled.
