It wasn't often that Salami came to visit Rivertide. More times than not he spent his time in Brookfell but on the rare occasion he would find himself traveling outside of there for work. There was an aquarium here that he was always rather fond of working at, everytime he was in the city he would poke in to see if he might get a job for a couple of months and by god was he good at those jobs. What he didn't expect, however, was to come here and not be able to even see the aquarium. There had been an SOS ping off the shore of Rivertide within minutes of his arrival into the city.

Three small fish pokemon were at his side, a little mantouga was making noises of complaint over the fact they were simply sitting him while a goldeon named Kevin was floating in a bubble of water above him. Then there was George, a tynaboach who had their own bubble that floated directly infront of him. He was called in here alongside his pokemon as all of them were well suited for the water and could reach the ship in need extraordinarily quick- but he didn't exactly want to. For a long moment Salami sat at the edges of the dock and peered out. "...I hate deep water." he said after a moment towards his three pokemon who all made small noises in return. It wasn't a lie, he used to love it but ever since the fog began to take everything over it made him feel uneasy. The depths of the ocean were dark and vast, they could hide endless dangers that no one would know exists until its too late. Still though, he had a job to do and with a glance towards his pokemon he let himself fall forward.

Water engulfed him within seconds as he were to pull off his suppressants, his legs which had been human before were fused together into that of a finned tail and he would start to swim. He didn't have a great sense of direction, but Kevin, his little Goldeon did and so they took the lead while George and harriet remained beside him. The SOS call hadn't been too far from the shore so it wouldnt take long to reach but his skin was crawling the entire way. It felt like at any moment the darkness of the waters below would rise up to swallow him and his pokemon, if it wasn't for the reassuring touches of Harriet and George on either side of him he might very well have just gone right back to shore and said that it was no use, spin a tale on how the ship was gone, whatever they had an SOS mustve taken them. He wasn't entirely above lying for his own gain after all but his pokemon kept him on track. They kept him going forward and they kept him locked on his goal. It wasn't a particularly large boat that had given the signal, nothing more than a small sailboat.

They should have known better than to try and go out onto the waters ever since the fog arrived, but some people were just too foolish and did so anyways. Things like this were the result. Poking his head up above the water Salami could see the boat off in the distance, his three pokemon peering over at it as well and everything felt... still. Far too still. "Any of you feeling like there's anything alive in there?" He asked to them. They couldn't really give him an adequate response, all the fish-pokemon were better at simply listening to his speaking than really inputting anything but they too could feel how things were so still and quiet over there.

George in particular found he didn't like it, the Tynaboach stared at the boat and with a few small sounds began to try and see if they could corral the others away. They just had a bad feeling, and their instincts was the best out of all of them for things like this. Harriet didn't have the same instincts and squeaked unhappily as she was trying to be pulled away from the boat before Salami eventually reached forward to take a hold of George and pet their head. "Now isn't the time for this, we gotta go in whether we like it or not." He mumbled to them.

There was no sound of laughter, no talking, no whispers- there was nothing coming from the boat. "Kevin, go up ahead and find which side of the boat we can climb up from." Salami figured that once they got there, no one would exist that could help drag him up.
