Pikavee scramble

The invasion of shadow pokemon were finally dying down. Mera let out a sigh of relief. The swarms of shadows seemed endless. Mera wasn't sure how well she could handle the shadow pokekmon, but Poe was handling them surprisingly well. She never would have guessed such a cute ghost could be so terrifying. But Poe ended up as a cuddly life force sucking machine.

As Mera watched a trainer off in the distance smash a shadow pokemon into sparkles. Mera couldn't help but feel a twinge upon seeing the kill. Sure these shadow pokemon were wild and a big problem, but Mera couldn't help but feel sorry for them. They weren't monsters, they were victims of the nothing. The nothing that took her home away, the nothing that caused countless server issues in the games she enjoyed. Who knew what unspeakable horrors the nothing did to the pokemon who got trapped within. For so long they must have been so lost, so sick, possibly forced to play the zelda cdi games over and over. Mera gave a shutter at the thought.

"Squawk! Squawk!" Link pulling at her pants leg interrupted her thoughts.

Mera looked down at Link, "What's wrong Lin-"

A shadow Eevee/Pikachu tackled Mera giving off an electric shock. Link helplessly tried to throw a rock at the shadow pokemon, but it just made it angrier. Mera was clutching her chest, shuttering in pain. Her heart pounded as she saw the shadow pokemon mere feet ahead of her.

Poe swooped in after the shadow pokemon. It was so fluffy! Very huggable. It looked very delicious. Poe was feeling a bit hungry since she couldn't feed from the last shadow pokemon. Poe looked towards Mera again, could she eat this one? Mera was shaking again. Poe didn't know what that meant. Shadow pokemon didn't make Mera happy, yet she didn't want Poe to feed off of all of them? This confused Poe.

Poe started chasing after the pikavee. So fluffy, so huggable, so delicious. Poe casted a night shade, but the Pikavee just ran away further. Poe was confused, shouldn't it weaken the food and make it slower? "Lamp?" Poe looked to Mera for guidance.

Mera slowly got up. Clutching her chest, in a somewhat strained voice, Mera commanded, "Okay Poe, use flamethrower."

Poe cheered. Hunting instructions! Hunting instructions for a tasty fluffy meal! The Pikavee let out some not flames, which hurt! But Poe heated up her core, and let the flames spill out! Hunting time? No! The Pikavee was out again!

Mera watched the situation. The Pikavee was trying to run away, but was too dangerous to get away. Luckily Mera wasn't too hurt from that tackle, but it still hurt. She needed to block off it's path, "Poe use night shade in front of the Pikavee, then hug it with fire lash."

New hunting instructions? Poe wasn't sure if it would work, and all this not working was making her hungry. She cast a shade from her paw. The Pikavee ran into it. It worked! Now it's feeding time. While the Pikavee was stunned, Poe swept in and gave it a hug. It was cold, but fire lash would warm it up. Fire was okay here. Mera said so. Poe tasted the Pikavee's delicious life engery. Surely Mera wouldn't mind a bite.

"Po die eat" Link typed out on his phone.

"Link! Don't tell Poe that. These shadow pokemon are victims of the nothing." Mera started explaining to Link.

Poe already got all the confirmation she needed. Lizzard was bad and didn't like hugs. But if he said yes then surely it was okay for Poe to eat! Poe squeezed the Pikavee tighter.

Link smiled at what he done. Sure Mera would be a little mad at him. But the stupid Pikavee wouldn't steal his spot at home. A pikachu, and eevee? That was too much for Link, no pokemon could stand up to a pokemon that popular, so it had to be gotten rid of. Link wished Mera didn't like Poe as much as she did either. Poe was actually hurting her! But Link accepted there was no getting rid of Poe now.

2 out of 4. That's half, Mera thought as she watched Poe eat the Pikavee. Sure 50% was a failing grade. But considering how much death Mera has been seeing on the battle field, saving at least 1 shadow pokemon was a big achievement.
