Forgiven

Link and Mera were walking down the boardwalk. Link was being a cool dude, and walking along the handrails. He's done it before, and enjoyed the amusement of the onlookers when they saw him flashing off all his feathers.

"Floon!" Poe popped out of her pokeball again and attempted to hug Mera. Link always had bad feelings about Poe, literally sucking the life force out of Mera when she first came around. And now Poe got Link into a cast for weeks.

"Poe you got both of us hurt" Mera yelled back. Link was glad that Mera finally saw Poe as the menace she was.

"Lamp, floon?" Poe said in a very sad pleading voice. Mera remained angry. And without Poe around, Mera gave her full attention to her first and best pokemon, Link!

"Sqawk!" Link looked at Mera and smiled. He hit his foot against an upraised piece of wood. Link lost balanced. Before he knew it, he was falling.

"LINK!" Mera screamed. Her stretched her arm out, over the railing.

Link was terrified. Feathers poofed out. Bracing for impact. But it was warm.

Link noticed he stopped falling. Poe had caught him. But, it was oddly friendly. Poe has been nothing but bad vibes since Link met her. "Lam, Lampent!" There was a soft cheerful warmth to her voice. She gently floated Link back up to Mera.

"Link you're okay!" Link jumped down into Mera's arms. Link hapily chirped in response. And then Poe joined in on the hug.

"Lampent?" Poe asked in an innocent voice. Mera shyed away.

"Sorry Poe, you did a bad. But, I can't stay mad at you forever. Come here girl." Mera embraced Poe in a hug.

"Lampent!" Poe cheerfully cried out fully embracing the hug. Poe began glowing a golden yellow. This was it, evolution. The joy Link would never get. Link rolled his eyes and let out a soft squawk.

"Delure! Chan-Delure!" Her voice was pure cheer. With happy tears rolling out, she was glad to have two hug buddies now.
