Fishing....

The days were still bearable for the most part, despite the cold that nipped at them in the air. Ahimoth carried with him what looked like a fishing rod, one for himself and one for his pokemon. Though he doubted Snatcher would willingly hold a fishing pole. If the water wasn’t too cold, he’d probably dive right into the water and go after fish.

“Are you going to use the fishing rod today?” Ahimoth inquired, looking over toward his pokemon.

Snatcher who was walking on two legs and towering over his partner tilted his head, and let out a gruff noise. “Not at all,” He replied, not that Ahimoth would understand those words.

“Something tells me no,” he muttered again, with a roll of his eyes. Ah, this was just routine for them though, Snatcher would rather catch some prey in his own claws. While Ahimoth liked the thought of catching his food with his bare hands, the water was a tad too cold for him to just plop into.

They soon reached a patch of ice that was thick enough to hold Ahimoth and Snatcher’s body weight. He got out his materials he needed, and soon began to cut a small circle in the ice so he could fish. While he was doing that, it seemed Snatcher went off a bit away from him, to a point where some of the ice was already broken up, exposing the water underneath. A loud splash was heard, and Ahimoth grumbled more. Of course he’d go ahead and dive into the water!

Snatcher seemed to enjoy being inside of the water, being able to be under for long periods of times, and some bubbles would float the to top as his eyes stood out against the dark water and he looked around. It had to be his eyes, or perhaps the white part to his sail and tail that attracted some fish. Living up to his name, Snatcher had opened his maw, and would snap it down, catching several fish in his mouth at a time.

What wasn’t appreciated was when he decided to bust out of the ice near his trainer and his little device that would catch one fish at a time. The appearance of Snatcher usually meant Ahimoth got covered in the cold water and ice, while Snatcher would release the flopping fish before his trainer to put in the large bucket he had brought.

The glare caused Snatcher to let out a snarl-like chuckle, knowing his Trainer wasn’t too happy with it, but he nudged a few fish over to him anyway, and soon disappeared back into the water.

This was repeated with Ahimoth moving to different spots around what used to be a small circle for simple fishing, mostly trying to avoid the water being splashed on him. Once the bucket was full of fish that Snatcher mostly gathered, the large pokemon sat there by his trainer, his sail dripping wet and his sleek body. His trainer's hair looked matted, and his clothes dredged, but Snatcher let out a bellow of a noise. “Shouldn’t we go back? You look drenched.”

Still annoyed, Ahimoth unhappily packed up his supplies and turned his glare onto Snatcher, seeing the pokemon rubbing his cheek the best he could, Ahimoth shook his head, not even saying a word to his pokemon. Regardless, Snatcher gathered the bucket in one of his claws, and walked with his trainer. He gave him a gentle nudge with his snout, as if trying to apologize.

Ahimoth held up his hand, and shook his head, “it’s fine,” the grumble was barely heard. “At least we caught some fresh fish, right?”

The trip back was mostly silent between the two, but Ahimoth did start to liven up a little, poking a bit of fun at the small icicles that seemed to start forming on Snatcher, guess it was time to give him a bath.
