Frozen Forest: Gettin' My License!
It was a long walk for the two of them through the snow of Winterfell and away from the city, descending on one of the hovercrafts to reach the bottom of their floating land. Snatcher was behaving for once, and Ahimoth was proud of him for that, reaching out and gently stroking his partner as he sat on all fours instead of his two legs. When the hovercraft reached the bottom, Ahimoth got out first, followed by Snatcher. They thanked the man and offered him some money, they would have to call another to get back to the city, but that was fine.
Ahimoth had his hands in the pockets of his hoodie, which he wore so he wouldn't be as cold as he thought he would be, while his claws walked along the snow, kicking it up and creating small particles of dust. "I didn't think we'd be here. At least it's not as cold as it could be."
He could feel Snatcher staring at him, almost like a glare. He chuckled, though, and turned to his annoyed Pokemon, shrugging his shoulders as a grin spread across his face. "Look, you wanted to come here," he said, pointing at the Pokemon.
Snatcher huffed, letting out a hissing growl with some low rumbling vibrations from his thoughts, and then stood up on his hind legs to get a better look at their surroundings. He could see Ahimoth chuckle, knowing that Snatcher was not happy with this teasing, and almost as if to say, "I'm not the only one.
He walked with Snatcher, his eyes fixed on the flowers and trees that seemed almost covered in permafrost. Glittering as the light bounced off the icy particles, it caught their attention. The place was absolutely breathtaking, but Ahimoth hadn't come here to enjoy the view of the forest. They both came in search of a Pokémon to fight.
He pulled out the small pamplet he had been given, his eyelids drooping slightly as he sighed, the words on the front of the pamplet reading. Describing how to get a Tracking License worked and what to do. Ahimoth wasn't very smart when it came to making herbs without a guide, so he knew that a fight would satisfy Snatcher and be easier for him.
"Come on, buddy, let's find something to fight here. There should be plenty of Pokemon around?" His last words were a request, and Snatcher shrugged at his owner, but went anyway. They wouldn't know if they didn't try to move.
The forest seemed to live up to its name as the two walked through it. Ahimoth looked left and right, even up and down for smaller Pokemon. Snatcher followed the same routine, always being able to see further than Ahimoth. But there was nothing in sight, at least nothing obvious.
Ahimoth sighed and crossed his arms over his chest, his eyebrows furrowed, a look of annoyance on his face. "I don't understand," he sighed, putting his hand to his chin in thought. "Normally, you'd see some Pokemon by now. But maybe it's because it's so cold that some are hibernating?"
Snatcher made a gruff noise and pointed in a certain direction, Ahimoth could feel that the Pokemon thought he had something, and so he shrugged with a smile. "What do we have to lose, let's see if this is a Pokemon we want to fight."
Ahimoth climbed on top of Snatcher as the pokemon leaned down, and he held the others' scales a bit; they weren't the best scales, but they were better than nothing. They closed the distance where Snatcher thought he was sending something. Ahimoth was careful to step away from Snatcher, not wanting to hurt his friend in any way.
It wasn't long before Snatcher ran into something, the little creature seemed to get angry with him and started yelling at him. Ahimoth felt bad because it seemed like such a small Pokémon. But when it tried to attack him instead, he knew better. He turned his gaze to Snatcher with a grin. "Deal with it."
That was all Ahimoth had to say before Snatcher took an attack stance and the battle between the two began...
