With how sheltered Klaus had been pretty much his entire life, despite growing up in Brookfell it honestly felt like he didn't know the city at all. Or anywhere for that matter considering the fits he used to pitch when brought to various vacation homes due to his discomfort in an unfamiliar house. Moving out he had found himself a bit but still felt like he was living in some foreign town he's never seen before. As he was sitting on a bench outside of his work, piri piri intertwining himself between the salazzle trainer's fingers and rubbing over his arms, he couldn't help but feel like maybe he should go exploring a bit more. He usually had the stubborn routine of only leaving his home to go shopping or to work or to pick up food, and those where all at very limited stores in the exact same pattern each time. He never had explored his home town to do anything besides his basics and he begun to wonder if that might be part of his problem of not belnging so as he rubbed Piri between hands and let Serrano cuddle into his legs, with Spicy being at the cafe with John for the day as he loved the old man. The torrbreon and stuffamo where content with his attentions for now with Ghost just sleeping in his hoodie pocket as the grouchy shadow pokemon disliked being actually touched but did not like leaving Klaus's side. He sighed and heavily leaned against the bench and frowned. A quick text to Salami affirmed the man would be working for a good few , and that was a good few more hours he'd have to himself and he didn't want to spend it alone with his thoughts so he finally stood up with Serrano jumping down on the floor next to him, eyes curious. Piri was still happily wrapped in his hands and he heard Ghost make upset clicks as he was moved in his pocket and he felt claws dig in as well and grimaced.
He checked his bag to ensure he had his phone, wallet and more before moving his hand up to let Piri slide into his hood so he could grab Serranos' leash and get going in a random direction. He almost paused to go back in and get Spicy for some semblance of safety but decided Serrano was more then capable of it on top of Ghost who came out to crawl across his chest and settle on his neck, who tended to squick people out enough to make them avoid him as is. He wandered off until he found the series of various caves the city had, something that had never interested him as they where dirty and dusty. He texted Salami once more to see if he'd maybe come join him and sighed at the small 'read' that popped up.

He was going to explore brookfell...? Salami stared down at the message and he could feel some amount of concern rising up within his chest. Explore Brookfell. This man? On his own with just his pokemon? Of course he had his pokemon with him and they were extremely good protection Salami still couldn't help but be a bit concerned. If he wandered his way into the slums of Brookfell while no one would attack him, the very ground beneath them might give way? A bridge he crosses might snap. Maybe he'd be in one of the caverns and a rockfall would happen trapping his pink haired boyfriend inside. The possibilities of things that could go wrong were quite expensive and some of the criminals that wandered as well Salami was certain could over power Spicy and Serrano. He was working at a Poke daycare for the moment but he found himself tapping at the head of a small growlithe in anxiety. "... Hey Boss, I gotta step out for a lil bit. I'll be back in three hours!"
Picking the growlithe up he set them off to the side, and while his boss was trying to ask him questions he didn't answer with anything. Instead Salami was jumping up over a fence to go and find his man. Where were they, off near one of the caves? Right. "I'll be there in ten <3 Does this count as a date?" A quick text was sent off to his boyfriend in hopes they wouldn't start to explore before he arrived. The cave he was at was Infact one of the safer ones, but if you took the wrong path it was easy to get lost or end up in some of the more dangerous cave systems, or to come out in the slums. Klaus seemed the type to ignore public warnings that were there for good reason so he hurriedly ran through the streets until he could see them in the distance.
Serrano and Piri Piri he could see, alongside ghost. Ugh. Ghost. Salami could barely withhold the sneer that tried to cross his features. Ghost was a pokemon he never was keen on, they were bad luck and bringing them on this trip just gave him a horrible feeling. What he couldn't see, however, was Spicy. Where was the big boof?
"Klaus~" Salami called out the name of his boyfriend happily as he would come tto hurry in behind them. His arms quickly reached up and over to pick up his love and twirl them around. An act of affection- but also one of trying to see if he had any additional pokeballs. Which he didn't. Did this man really leave spicy at home when going out to explore?? Smiling widely he set him down again and looked at the entrance to the cave. It was a clean cut into the mountain side, and well lit too. Perfectly deceiving in that there were Infact, dangers that could occur depending on what route you'd take!

Klaus hadn't exected an anctual response for atleast an hour or so, but honestly? He himself was hesitant. He wasn't often just a bad luck charm but he had begun to regret leaving his starter behind but he had been so comfortable on John and John had looked so happy to be petting and cuddling him. Ever since the older mand and Klaus had bonded into an almost parent and child-like relationship he had begun taking time out of his day to just go and visit him either at the cafe, his restaurant or sometimes even his house and each time Spicy lost his ever loving mind. This time he had only been there for a few minutes as the cafe was slammed and Spicy had let out the most pathetic sound at being told to go home, so he had been permitted to stay. As he stared into the dark caves he begun to regret being as soft as he was. He sighed heavily and tapped his phone on his side as he ran a finger down Ghost's head, earning some grumpy clicks but feeling the salanquil relax regardless. The dust of the cave was blown at him from passing wins and giving him a whole coughing fit that caused Serrano to bark in concern as his trainer fanned away the dust with his hand, grimacing at the brown haze the dust left on his white clothing. He was just about to walk into the cave when his phone dinged, startling him further. He nearly dropped it but caught it and brushed off the flustered feeling as he glanced at it, pausing as he read it. Salami was actually coming? Wasn't he at work? He stared at it blankly before tucking his phone away. "Guess we're waiting on your dad, huh?" He cooed at Serrano, and the word 'Dad' caused Piri to perk up aswell. Ghost just made clicking sounds at the word and he knew the two didn't like the other.
He heard his name after the moments passed by and barely got to turn around before he was grabbed, causing Ghost to bolt off him entirely but Piri to squeal in delight alongside his trainer's surprised squeak, before being twirled and he held tightly onto the man in fear he'd go flying if he didn't. He knew he wouldn't, but it always felt like it with how strong the magikarp man was. He made a delighted purr as he pressed his cheek against his boyfriend's before giving him an assortment of kisses. "Babe, you came~" He said in delight, the cave forgotten in the joy of being in the presense of his lover as his tail swayed and flicked happily. He clung heavily even after the twirling in just sheer delight of it. "I just wanted to see what they where like." He finally said, looking almost sheepish in the arms of his concerned partner.

Good. The sight of Ghost bolting filled Salami with a small sense of joy. That damned shadow pokemon was never one he had ever particularly liked so seeing them run pleased him greatly. "Of course I came~" He purred out as he nuzzled in against his love while they showered his face in their own kisses. It was not a given, more times than not he wouldn't come but. "How could I leave you to go and explore Brookfell on your own?" He couldn't! The answer was he couldn't.
With Klaus still in his arms he scooped them up to hold them as if they were a princess, which in many ways they were. If he put them back down on the ground then Ghost would come right on back to climb onto them and they didn't need that bad luck right now~ Looking up at the cavern and with Klaus in his arms he began to wander forward to enter into the mouth of the cave. Small spears of stone hung down from the ceiling but those hadn't fallen in the entirety of Brookfells existence so he wasn't concerned with them. "Would you want to go up high babe? Or down low~ If we go to the lower caverns sometimes we can find crystals imbedded in the walls." Lightly he began to ramble to Klaus on the different sights they can go see. All of which would be along paths that were safe.
