Eddy couldn't believe it. How did his life come to this? How could this be what his life came to?? He had come to Rivertide in hopes of finding a new fabric that was made down here as a gift for Celeste. It was some kind of, fancy pattern, sparkling, colorful- thing? Honestly he didn't fully understand the different fabrics but he'd heard it was a good one so he wanted it. Unfortunately, he couldn't quite go out on his own. The world was a dangerous place after all! And according to Celeste he was a bit naïve and attracted scammers of all sorts. Eddy didn't fully believe it, but he didn't want to worry them so he did bring someone with him.

He didn't expect that person to try and drag him out into the ocean.

"Honey?" He called out their name in a bit of a panic as his arms were wrapped around the thin frame of the other man. They were seated on the back of a large dragonair mimikyu who was steadily racing throughout the streets in the direction of the ocean. "Honey please, I didn't mean it, We can just leave them. Why do we have to play the hero? We don't! We can just, sit back. Watch others go out- you know... not go out into the ocean to die."

Eddy had never liked the ocean, not once in his entire life had he ever had a desire to go out into the water and it was even less so right now. His legs were mechanical, and while they weren't terrible they sadly also weren't completely waterproof. They could handle the subtle spray of water but the moment they would be submerged he was doomed. Not that Honey cared though.

"We're not doing this because you're worried about what is going to happen to the people out there." Honey corrected him rather flatly and with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"...We're not?"

The poor Eldegloss man had long since blown out his suppressor thanks to stress and all four of his arms were clinging around Honey to try not to fall off as the Pokémon picked up their speed. Why were they doing this if it wasn't because of his comment? They had heard an SOS call, or well, the report about the SOS call that was playing on the radio. Honey hadn't paid any attention to it till Eddy mentioned he was worried about what was going to happen to the people out there. After listening to the details about just what kind of boat it was Honey had decided that Eddy was right to worry, and now here they were! Hurtling towards the ocean.

"No, we aren't."

Honey didn't elaborate any further from that point on and Eddy merely let out a whine.  "Can't you keep me on the shoreline? Nothing will happen to me." He pointed out and he could practically feel Honey rolling his eyes at that.

"Celeste said I shouldn't let you out of my sight or you're going to get scammed."

Ah... While there was more that Eddy wanted to say to protest this, to try and argue that no he would be fine. He wouldn't talk to anyone it was too late. The ocean was Infront of him and before he could say anything more, Three, the pokemon that they were riding dove over the edge towards the water.

He would have expected for them to sink in the water fabric when wet would easily become waterlogged and heavy, so as they went into the ocean and remained above it Eddy's mind circled in confusion. This, giant plush Dragonair could float? He looked down and pulled his legs up higher as the bottom of his bug-like appendage touched the ocean water.  They were floating alright, and looking behind them their tail was serving as a propellor. it was almost like Three was an eel in the water now as they moved through it.

"The boat is one where Isaiah sometimes hid his money." Honey stated now and Eddy froze.

"...His illegal money?" It felt like that needed to be clarified. Isaiah wasn't exactly a _good_ man by any means and so to have money hidden there... that had to be blood money. Drug money maybe?

Honey just let out an even heavier sigh at Eddy's question and shot him a glare over their shoulder. "His money." He wouldn't specify what kind. To him, honestly, Eddy didn't need to know what kind of money this was. All that was important was that they get to the ship before anyone else does and ensure that it's all okay.
