Word Count: 749 | Catching a Swablu/Eevee in Rivertide!
The warm sun of Rivertide, the endlessly sprawling ocean that you can stare at all the way until it devolves into a purple fog- it was a beautiful sight. Noir had always enjoyed Rivertide, but it was made even better over the last couple of days because he was there with those he loved. The man who was his entire world had come here with him alongside his kid. Seth also was here and while he was glad to have their company really it was His husband and Honey who made this trip what it was for him.
For now the two kids had skrunkled off to gods knows where, they had just whispered between one another and vanished and at this point Noir knew better than to question what that might mean- and his husband? His husband had left him outside to go and buy the two of them ice cream, telling him to stay sitting there and he had. He had sat down on the curb of the street, watching the ocean in the distance and waiting patiently. He trusted that his beloved would go and bring back what they had promised, so as he found something else plopped into his lap he was frozen solid.
First of all, ice cream wasn't just something dropped into your lap. It might sometimes be blue or white depending on the flavor- but it was never dropped like this and it surely didn't squirm around to then yip and yap in your direction. "Hold onto this, I'll be back with some icrecream for real this time." The hand of his husband came and ruffled through his hair and while Noir turned himself to try and ask why he was now holding a pokemon, John was already gone.
The man was walking off just like that after dropping a pokemon on him and Noir was left in some small shock. Hold this... Hold what? The Noivern man stared after the leaving figure for a few moments more before looking back down infront of him to the little fellow that was squirming and squiggling around. They looked to be an Eevee that was mixed in with a swablu and carefully Noir reached over to pull a bit at the wing at their side. Why were they just dropped with him though? The little fellow looked up at him with big, wide eyes and he started to get a rather bad, sinking feeling. The way that he was being looked at right now felt much the same as how pokemon who got attached would look at him. It had only been a few minutes so surely they couldn't get attached to him that fast.
Was this, a ploy of his husbands maybe? "...Hello?" Noir let out a very awkward greeting to the little pokemon as he reached down to set the on the ground. He was hoping that they would stay and sit there but just as soon as he set them down they were quickly jumping back up. They climbed right on up into his lap and underneath his hands and he stared down in dismay. No, he wasn't getting any more pokemon. He wasn't! He had enough, he couldn't take care of anymore. If that was John's plan then he wouldn't let it happen. "I'm not going to be your dad." Noir continued as he again tried to pry the Swablu Eevee off of his lap. "I already have too many kids to take care of, I don't have room for anymore."
Over and over he tried to put the little pokemon down on the ground but every single time it was jumping right on back up until Noir let out a rather frustrated groan. He'd just attempted the eighth moving of the little pokemon and as it was in his lap once more he heard the footsteps of John approaching. "John, I'm not taking care of another pokemon, I'm not" He said but as he said that a small pokeball was accidentally dropped down infront of him as well. Landing on the pokemon's head and in a flash of red- it captured them.
Now, instead of a pokemon in his lap he had a pokeball resting within his hand. "Oh my bad." John mused out as he looked at the newly caught pokemon in Noir's hand. "It slipped out of my pocket~ I'm not sure if we can let him go anymore now that he's caught. Wasn't he cute though?"
