FIELDWORK-RESTOCK
Your character noticed a request from the local Pokecenter that they are low on herbal supplies. They have marked a location where they grow in abundance- Do you go and gather these for the Center or do you keep them for yourself?
Word Count: 808
Eddy didn't know just how much he believed Lanca when he was saying that the Pokecenter needed these herbs. They weren't, the usual type of herb used by then but perhaps they had some occasional use that he didn't know about? It wasn't like he was a herb expert, he just knew what they all looked like and what their general use was. He knew which ones to make his pokemon avoid and which one they were okay to go near- and the one Lanca spoke of was just. One of the avoiding ones. Even Mr. Business who was bubbling away on the ground behind Lanca wouldn't be trusted going near those herbs in Eddy's mind.
"So?" Lanca asked hopefully "Will ya come out and help me gather some?"
The Eldegoss fusion made a small quiet whine as his gaze looked between all the pokemon. Chompy and Chompette both definitely couldn't be out and about while they were getting these herbs, nor Mr. Business and he didn't feel safe with no pokemon what so ever. "I suppose.. If the pokecenter needs them." He said quietly and Lanca beamed widely.
"That's what I like to hear!" He called out happily as he pulled his hand out of Chompy's mouth. The little trapinch refused to let go of him ever since they had latched but Lanca was easily able to force his hand free as he put them back into Eddy's hold. Chompette was reunited once more with Chompy and instantly the blue pokemon began to nibble at the bowtie of her companion. "Come now Eddy, they say that it grows at the southern part of the city in the lower sections of the caves!"
Eddy didn't like this one bit and his small whine turned into a louder whine- but just like how Lanca would ignore the whining of the poisonous ditto at his feet he ignored the whine of Eddy. Simply turning to start wandering away with the assumption that he would be followed, which he was. Edward followed the dark haired man with both Chompy and Chompette held tight in his arms while Mr. Business sledged his way behind them.
"How many of these herbs does the pokecenter need?" Eddy asked as Lanca lead them down to the cave systems.
"Mmmmm, About as much as we can gather." Lanca decided easily and Edward nodded.
"Are you going to put Mr. Business away while we collect them?" He asked in some concern for the gelatinous blob that followed behind them but Lanca just rolled his eyes.
"You ask the funniest questions sometimes Eddy. He will be fine, I don't think anything could possibly really hurt him." Plus Lanca didn't even have their pokeball with them so even if he wanted to, he couldn't for the time being.
"Ah."
Eddy didn't believe him but he didn't ask anymore questions after that. He merely followed as Lanca lead them all down into the tunnels, watching the world get gradually darker and darker. It wasn't too far to the location on the map and soon they came towards the section. Right away Eddy didn't see any of the herbs, he only saw dirt and rocks but soon he began to see them, just itty bitty sprouts. Little green plants that grew along the floor. They popped up rarely but looking up he could see how and why. Small holes were in the ceiling of the cave, letting some light filter down and it was where that light hit that these herbs grew.
Chompy and Chompette both saw them and their head tilted as they gave little squawks. The fought more in his hold to get free and soon they managed to wriggle their way out of his hold. The two Trapinch fusions fell to the earth where they laid for a single moment until they could sit up straight and look at the plants excitedly. "Chompy- Chompette- no!" Eddy tried to catch them but the two were already running.
Lanca merely watched in some degree of amusement as the pair scampered forward, Mr. Business behind them because if they were excited then he too should be excited!! All three of them were barreling towards the herbs that they were here to collect and while Lanca was merely entertained by the sight of the running pokemon Eddy was not.
He quickly reached into his pockets to scramble for their pokeballs and in a flash of red he recalled the two trapinch's, leaving only Mr. Business to actually reach the herb. The ditto ran directly ontop of what Chompy and Chompette had been so intrigued by- the two of them always having wanted to try and eat anything and everything they came across- and Eddy got to watch in some degree of horror as the plant simply. Dissolved inside of Mr. Business's body.
