AMPHAROS/TYPHLOSION | ELECTRIC FIRE - Brookfell
Word Count: 780

Don't buy Pokémon when you're upset, Klaus. How many times had he been told this- god he'd lost count. Why couldn't he buy Pokémon when he was upset??? They always made him feel better! Not to mention he was a good trainer! Salami had just pushed him aside to focus on his job at a daycare and despite all the messages that had been sent they'd left him entirely on read. There wasn't even a heart emoji sent his way, nothing! Nothing at all! The audacity of this man- did he perhaps not love him anymore? Klaus huffed at the thought. He knew that Salami did love him, but he still couldn't help but be upset with his boyfriend. Why did they need to work so much? He could pay him enough to do nothing for the rest of his life yet even so he continued to focus on all these other jobs. Salami barely every came home to be with him and he kicked at a rock angrily in thought.

He wanted to go buy a Pokémon.

He really wanted to go buy a Pokémon.

No, he shouldn't. Klaus took a deep breath. John had always told him that it wasn't good to buy one just because of your emotions, and if you're upset then you should find another outlet. Go for a walk perhaps- visit Axel. Bake. He always suggested baking but all Klaus had been able to bake were magikarps with X's in their eyes because they were dead. It hadn't gone well to say the least so he was trying one of the other suggestions- to go for a walk. His gaze looked out around him at the tall mountains surrounding brookfell, somehow the sight of them looming so far above him always made him feel small as did the sight of the large buildings. Everything here made him feel so very small but at the same time the familiar sights were rather comforting.

As he wandered though, he began to get a strange feeling. A prickling along his back- the sensation of being watched and his wanderings came to a slow pause. That feeling when in the streets of Brookfell was never good so he slowed down his steps. Klaus listened closely to see if he could hear anyone that might be trying to follow him but there was nothing but the normal dull hum of the city. There was nothing out of place so he took a deep breath and continued on until the feeling grew horribly uncomfortable. Someone was definitely watching him- he knew that they were  and as the feeling crept up closer he spun around dramatically. Whoever was there, he would catch them! But as he turned around he saw nothing. The street was empty with not a soul to be found and he felt the hair on his arm rising. The sensation of being watched still didn't leave and his discomfort rose with every second.

Quietly he scanned the darkness before he turned to continue his amble forward. In his head he began to make plans for how he could get home from here, what would be the fastest route? Should he call Axel? Salami? No. Salami was a bastard he didn't deserve to be called right now. It would be okay, Klaus quietly convinced himself of this but that feeling never left him. Once or twice more Klaus turned around to see if anyone was following him but he didn't, not the first time. Not the second time. It was only on the third time that he saw something in the street's that was out of place.

A tail. A tail was poking out from behind a dumpster and Klaus found himself in pause. It was a lot like the tail of an Ampharos and he tilted his head. His previous worries gradually began to fade away and instead of fear, it was excitement that began to fill him. Was it a Pokémon. "Hey there fella." He called out softly towards them. "Do you want a treat?" John might have said he shouldn't go out and buy Pokémon, but he surely didn't say anything about what he should do if he's just. Followed by one, right?

The Pokémon's head gradually poked out from behind the trashcan and he felt his heart soar. It was a fusion, but Klaus would recognize a Typhlosion fusion anywhere. The whole Cyndaquil line was his favorite and he was obsessed with them, so to see this fellow? He itched to bring them home with him and slowly alongside some Pokémon treats he had in his Pokémon, he reached down to grab a spare Ultraball.
