Taking a Nap...

He didn't have to work today and he felt like being lazy, an arm draped over his bright green eyes and he lazed on the bed with a yawn on his lips. Vasuki had stayed up a little too late the day before, and although he enjoyed it with his Pokemon, it wasn't quite what he wanted. He felt a head nuzzle his fingers as he hung off the bed, and he rolled his head over to look at the creature, who looked at him with a curious gaze. He smiled tiredly at his Pokemon partner, it was Tiamat, the gentlest of all his Pokemons.

"Hey, Tiamat," he whispered to her, running his hand over her scales in a soothing way. "I'm glad you came to check on me, I'm just tired."

She tilted her head and lowered her eyes a little, as if feeling guilty for keeping him up too late, and Vasuki stroked her head again, gently over her feathered ears. "It's okay, I'll be fine. It wasn't just you." It was just the other day that... well, the washer and dryer had scared her and Haietlik. In fact, he wondered where Haietlik was.

"Ooof"

Well, there was Haietlik, the snake had half-jumped onto the other bed and landed on it with his head nuzzling his stomach. Vasuki winced as he felt the static electricity build up and quickly moved his hand to try and stop the snake from snuggling him. "H-Haietlik a-as much as I enjoy knowing that you care about me. P-Please stop."

Tilting her head, Haietlik hissed a little, flicking her tongue to taste the air, then turned her confused gaze to Tiamat. "What did I do wrong?"

Tiamat shook her head, "He's tired from us keeping him awake the night before. Perhaps we should let him sleep a little before we try to interact with him?"

Haietlik pouted and curled his orbed tail around himself, lowering his head slightly against his trainer's chest, "But I wanted to play with him today! We were going to have so much fun."

Vasuki had begun to soften their hissing to each other and began to close his eyes. He was about to fall asleep, only hearing the hissing of the Pokemon talking to each other. He didn't know what they were saying, and frankly, he didn't care. But another sound made his eyes open, it was the jarring sound of another Pokemon screaming, one from outside and running down the street. Vasuki let out a sigh, maybe he wouldn't get to take a nap this time.

Tiamat gave him a worried look, then turned her attention to the window where the creature was making a ruckus. Huffy and annoyed, she slithered over to the window and tried to open it with her fin-like arms, they weren't very strong and more delicate than anything else, so the window wouldn't budge.Haietlik also slithered over, using the orbed tail he had, and Tiamat used hers, the two managed to open the window and stared down at the larger Pokemon from it. Both hissed in unison.

"Can you keep it down, some of us are trying to take a nap!"

That didn't go over too well with the Pokemon, the three of them got into an argument with each other and made more noise for Vasuki, but he couldn't just let them go and yell at random Pokemon. He got up from the bed, even though he was tired, and went to the window just as the unknown Pokemon fled and the two closed the windows, seemingly proud of their work. Confused and a little worried, Vasuki lowered his body a little. "Are you both okay?" he asked, touching their heads in concern.

Tiamat nodded quickly, and Haietlik gently nuzzled the hand that touched the side of his face. Although their actions told him all he needed to know, Vasuki chuckled a little. "You didn't have to do that for me, you know, I could have just stayed up." His words, punctuated by a yawn, proved how tired he really was.

Haietlik shook his head and pointed to the bed, where Tiamat had slid over and moved some of the covers so that her trainer could get on the bed and lie down as well. When Vasuki returned to the bed to take a nap, Tiamat covered him, and both snakes curled up comfortably on the bed with him. If their trainer was going to pass the time with a quick nap, then they were going to take one as well. Haietlik took naps all the time, it wasn't new to him!

Vasuki was up all night the night before trying to soothe both of his pokemon because of the washing and dryer machines that scared them into thinking there was a monster in the house! Now he's trying to take a cat nap but that's not always easy...
