He had come here to return a card, he was just going to come in, drop it off, and then leave! That would be it and he fully expected the lady behind the bar to ignore him when he arrived. It really didn't usually bother John when he was ignored by the other bartenders, as long as they ended up serving him that was all that mattered so as her eyes glittered in interest at the little black card he produced he found himself taken aback. That was not the usually reaction to his presence was it? No, that was very abnormal actually and as she spoke about him being a lucky man and about vetting people-- he found himself even more confused. "I don't think he saw-" He went to try and explain that whatever was in her mind was very much wrong and he'd merely found this card. It had been on the ground, laying at the side of a ditch it wasn't something he'd been given but he struggled to get the words out as the bartender grabbed his arm. He had been in here probably hundreds of times- and not once had he ever been pulled towards the back or seen this door open. "Uh, listen here missy--" He tried to protest this action but he was shoved into the room and left all on his own. They just, abandoned him. Just like that after acting so weird they abandoned him. John stared down at the card in his hands. What was this??

It was loud in here, there was giggling, laughing- and John stood there with his mouth ajar. He'd been in clubs before, that was nothing new but what the fuck was this place?? Looking around he scanned at everything and was feeling quite distinctly out of place. Everyone here was so... fancy. And beautiful- some were doing drugs and all discussing things that looked not very legal, around a completely different experience than what he was used to. As far as he knew this place was a simple bar that he liked to visit- he didn't begin to believe that something like this might have existed behind the walls and he was so caught up in his stupor that he didn't even notice Noir. There was so much going on around him the presence of a single man was hardly going to be taken into account. He took a few steps back and then turned to look back at the door. It was already closed and so his gaze looked back down at the card he'd wanted to return. "Where the fuck am I?" He whispered to himself under his breath. No. You know what? He just had to get out of here- his eyes scanned the surroundings to try and find the first person who might be approachable. Someone who looked in control and might be able to explain to him what was going on and get him out of here. It wasn't Noir he walked towards, rather a completely different man he started to walk towards in hopes that they might help him before his heart burst from the sheer shock of being in such a place.

Noir was in disbelief that John was in here. He knew John'd get torn to shreds here if he even acted a bit confused - This place was too dangerous to people not participating in the business so as John tried to walk towards one of the bouncers, who started to raise an eyebrow at Noir as his 'client' walked away, he grabbed John roughly and the man was just fucking whispering and muttering and talking and oh my arceus the man was going to get himself fucking killed. Had it not been for the spooky reputation Noir had among people for his position, he probably would've already been grabbed and interrogated, but the card in his hands was his saving grace as the bouncer simply stared at Noir questioningly. They had the card that meant they were doing business with him, so what were they doing wandering around like this?
Noir smoothly came up towards them. "He's new, Jeremiah, cut 'em some slack yea?" and the other man threw up his hands in a joking display of submission to the noivern, knowing his temper to be something to be feared when disobeyed. Noir didn't crack any smiles and his expression did not change as he grabbed John gently as to not bruise or tear anything but firmly enough to keep the man from running off and yanked him towards his own private room in hopes that it'd go smoothly enough for his excuse to hold merit.
This is shortly before Noir starts to chase after John's hand in marriage as a fun fact!
