EV LoL - Home Visit

"Soooo this is your home?"

"Yes."

"It doesn't look like yours."

"That's because I'm not... the primary owner, I suppose."

Micah stepped aside to let the younger woman into his shared space. Raelynn Morais, a young and aspiring singer, and songwriter didn't often come to Wintervale. Too cold, she says. Which, Micah didn't blame her for-- with her recent permafusion she stayed clear of anything cool and cold. It was a wonder she even showed up.

"That makes a lot more sense."

Raelynn made her way inside, her arms behind her back as she whistled softly and toddled through the space- only to be tugged back by Micah who pointed towards her shoes and gestured for her coat. The age difference between the two was quite big- with her having been adopted right after Micah had left their parents', but they still had their sibling behavior nonetheless.

"And your primary owner isssss--- ?"

"Gone, at the minute."

Micah helped the young woman take off her coat before hanging it up, following it with his own shortly after.

"So aside from bothering me at home, did you want to do something else?"

"There's supposedly a good takoyaki stand I wanted to visit. And some of the cafes. That eager to get rid of me?"

"No-- just--.. The last thing I need is Viggo hounding me about you being here. Or his pokemon coming at you as they do to me. I'll make you something to drink and you can warm up before we go. Just don't touch anything."

He looked around suspiciously at that, narrowing his eyes for any of the mischievous pokemon that tended to frighten the shit out of him. Raelynn made her way through once given further permission, looking but not touching. She held respect for Micah, so even if she'd poke at him verbally she wouldn't ever do something he didn't want her to do. The view from the high rise apartment complex wow'd her as she stood in front of the massive windows, overlooking Wintervale.

"I'm surprised you've not moved back home. Isn't it way too cold here?"

She was nosey, that's for sure, turning around when she heard shuffling and assuming it had been Micah until she looked down and saw a tiny Litwick on the floor, looking up at her.

" 'This one of Viggo's too?"

"Ah. No. That's Ember, he's mine."

Micah cleared his throat, the sound of rustling cups and mugs as he settled it all on a tray before coming over, nodding his head to the sofa's so Raelynn could go and sit while he placed things on the coffee table.

"As for the cold- you get used to it. Not that I didn't consider it, but Viggo won't leave and I can't exactly leave him alone here in good conscience."

"You should visit though, when you can. I'll even give you a free ticket to a gig."

"I think I'm too old for your type of music."

Raelynn laughed loudly as she moved to pick Ember up before going over to sit on the sofa. The small Litwick settled in on her lap- practically melting. Since she was fused as a fire type, she was nice and warm- a familiar feeling for the little pokemon. She reached over for her tea and looked at Micah as he sat down next to her. The man held his own mug in his hands as he looked to Raelynn- mostly to Ember, actually.

"How have you been?"

Raelynn was caught off guard by the question, not quite expecting it so soon. She smiled and held one hand around the pokemon and the other on her cup.

"I'm doing good! My music's been really kicking off, and Bongo has been learning to use the drums with his feet. It's actually really funny. And Starlite and Dracar are learning to hold the guitars with their little tails. Soon enough I might not even need to hold the microphone myself anymore. Mom and dad are still doin' good. I think they were looking into starting a pokemon daycare. Too old for another one of us- but there's still plenty of pokemon that need carin'."

Micah chuckled quietly into his cup at the enthusiasm, and Ember was more than happy to be held and warm. He had missed his home in Grovehart, even though he wouldn't admit it. Having left home so early and going around all those years left him wondering, sometimes, what it would be like if he'd go home again. Raelynn brought that spark of life with her whenever she came by, and he was more than grateful for that. Before he could reply, Raelynn went on another tangent about life at home, and he closed his eyes as he listened.
