At her high school prom, Mera's date stood her up. She was devistated. Seeing her so sad, Link asked Mera out to prom! This cheered Mera up, and she enjoyed the night together with Link. And this night is part of the reason why Mera has trouble going out and making human friends, they've let her down before, when pokemon always seems to be on her side.
