Understanding Ivy, part 1

Ivy was cozy on the couch, wrapped in a nice warm blanket soaking up the sun in the window. Everything was so nice and relaxing.

Until that hug gremlin showed up.

"Biii," Ivy hissed. This spot was way too comfy to give up. If Poe wanted to bother her, she would have to do so by force.

"Luuurrre!" Poe swooped down, arms spread wide, reaching for a hug. Ugh, Ivy built up a static charge in her body.

"Ru-biiiiiiii!" Ivy let loose a thunderbolt. Poe was struck back. Dodongo who was simply wandering around let out an ear piercing shriek and ran.

Mera walked into the scene of the crime. Ivy was pissed, teeth gritted, face full of fury as she built up an electric shield around herself as Poe looked for the best way to hug her.

"It's okay Ivy, calm down," Mera asked softly. Doing anything with Ivy was walking on eggshells, "Come here Poe, I'll hug you."

"Luuure!" Poe cheered happily. Poe fully embraced Mera for a hug. Ivy rolled her eyes. They were so annoying. She sighed, and tried to annoy how annoying their sounds were to her sunbath.

Minutes later, Mera came to face Ivy again. Ugh, Ivy thought she already had her earful.

"Hey Ivy," Mera approached carefully. Ivy was annoyed by Mera just being here, what was she going to bother Ivy with this time? "I was wondering if we could talk," Mera carefully sat down next to Ivy. Ivy kept a weary eye on Mera.

"I know you're mad at me. I was wondering, what can I do to make you feel more comfortable with me?" Mera looked at Ivy pleadingly.

"Ru, bi," Ivy merely rolled her eyes. Mera knew very well why. She stole Ivy away from her original human. Nothing could make up for that.

Mera watched Ivy carefully. What had she done wrong? Was it something she did, something she said. Ivy's acted like this since Mera got her. And then a light bulb went off in her head. Ivy's acted like this ever since Mera adopted her. Ivy missed her original trainer!

"Ivy, do you miss you're original trainer?"

Ivy looked up at Mera nodding, "Ru! Bi!" Mera had finally gotten it. But what was she going to do about it?

"Oh you do. Would you like to go visit them Ivy?"

"Bi! Bi!" Ivy was rabidly nodding her head. This was the happiest Ivy felt in a long time. Finally! Mera got it.

"Okay, I'll call them and see when they're free, okay Ivy?"

"Cher~ Ru~ Bi!~" Ivy cheered. She was so excited. She would see her human again! And once Ivy's human saw her again, she would realize what a mistake they made letting Mera steal her, and she would get to go home!"

Mera stood up, and started being weird talking to no one. Ivy didn't understand what the heck Mera was doing, but she was excited to see her human again!
