DNA Nera

As the name suggests, these nera are nera infused with Pokemon DNA. Upon touching an unfused being, the genetic makeup of the individual will change the genetic makeup of that creature before vanishing. DNA Nera currently cannot retain the genetics of mythical and legendary pokemon. Studies believe it is due to a rise in conflicting power but not enough has been seen and recorded yet.

Trainers and DNA

Trainer Creation Guide
Trainers with DNA Nera are known as infused and perm fused. Infused can be temporary and replaced. Perm fused is permanent.

Trainers have the ability to reject Nera if they come into contact with it naturally. This is like an immune response to a foreign infection, and the DNA will be rejected if the body is strong enough. This process leaves the trainer feeling weakened and ill for some time until the Core is able to recover and resume normal functions. An OFF-GRID or HACKED trainer will have a much harder time rejecting Nera as they must rely on their body's own strength to fight it off.

Subsequent interactions with Nera rejection in a short time reduce the ability and effectiveness. Eventually, if exposed enough in a short time, a trainer will be unable to reject any further Nera.

These changes are incredibly hard on the human body, no matter how accepting one being is. They grow additional limbs and carry on traits they never had before. Own tails and feathered ears that introduce new health conditions that the world simply could not understand. Large bodily changes will be met with a learning curve and discomfort as a trainer attempted to adapt to their new normal. Severe changes to the body may make life difficult enough that a suppressor is necessary to survive. This should be taken into account when deciding on a DNA Nera for your trainer.

Instincts, habits, and certain abilities that a Pokemon may have can carry over to your trainer to an extent. For example, a dog-type Pokemon DNA fused onto a trainer may leave them with new mannerisms such as tail wagging when excited, a better sense of smell, or a sensitivity to high-pitched sounds. Similarly, A Ninetails - known as a vengeful and spiteful Pokemon - may introduce new personality traits in an otherwise timid and shy trainer.

POKEMON AND DNA

When Nera touches a Pokemon, its energy will be absorbed by the Pokemon and change its appearance and abilities. Not every fusion is equal, some gain more traits than others, but every design should be a strong combination of two different Pokemon.

Following is an example of acceptable design and some that may need tweaking.

There are multiple ways to approach a single design, the first and second show the combination rather clearly and would pass through design approval. The first has a dominant Litwick body with Frillish colors and the second has the opposite.

The third however is a little harder to judge. Although it has a dominant Frillish body and Litwick colors, there aren't enough features from either side to properly discern at first look what the fusion is. The dark blue coloration taken from Litwick's flame lends more to a male-variant Frillish or could be mistaken for other ghost types like Shuppet. To fix this, an admin might ask for more white on the design, dripping wax, or the signature Litwick flame.
