Strolling through Brookfell since the attack from Groudon was odd, and his hands shuffled a bit into his pocket with his eyes closed. He had Knight at his side, and one of his newest additions, a Kotora and Aerodactyl fused. The little creature was alright for the most part, but it did enjoy nipping and biting at things, Aeson always thought that was a Deino thing, but apparently the hyperactive pokemon also had the same habit. That and playing with anything shiny, but it still brought a small smile to his face. There was a reason why he had brought Lil’ King and Knight with him out to the outskirts of Brookfell, he was going to enter the wilds area, wild pokemon walked about and some were dangerous and some weren’t.

He looked down to Lil King, who seemed to open his maw at him and give a light cry. Inside of his mouth where his teeth were was one that had been aching him for a while, and Aeson was determined to make some medicine to help him feel better. He leaned down, petting Lil’King’s head a moment, and rubbing between the horns on the top of his head. “Don’t worry little guy,” he reassured. “I’ll make some medicine to help your tooth stop.”

Knight walked up beside the two of them, shifting his gaze to this little pokemon. He was feeling something foreign, perhaps it was a bit of jealousy. Usually Aeson always had his attention on him, since Lil King and Queen came into the house, he’d been getting less and less. “Come on Lil’ King, let’s get going. We can help look too, I’ll describe what the plants look like.”

Lil King gave a growl in response, a pout showing on his face, and one winged paw touching his cheek where the toothache was. He didn’t want to bite on anything, not unless it would knock the tooth out and quickly. As he did that, he finally responded to Knight in a pouty voice. “Alright, alright. What do they look like?”

It took about an hour for Aeson to gather up all the herbs they’d need to combine for Lil’ King’s mixture to help his toothache go away. “Don’t worry, we’ve all had this, it will make it all better, alright?”

Lil’ King whimpered as he watched the water with the herbs, berries, and what seemed to be honey be combined together in the mortar and pestle that Aeson kept on him. The herb was soon ground down, as well as most of the berries. The seeds were strained out of the mixture so Lil’ King would have less of a chance for the seeds to slip where they shouldn’t be and cause more harm to the small pokemon.

Aeson held the bowl out that had the juices mixed together, making this odd concoction that smelled good but also would taste awful. He motioned for Lil’ King to come over, the smile still on his face, and he watched the unhappy pokemon walk toward him cautiously. almost timidly.

Aeson let out a sigh, “The sooner we get this over with the sooner your ache will go away and you can play with the others here, alright? Now eat some.”

Knight gruffed at the pokemon, giving Lil’ King a careful nudge forward and being in front of the bowl now. Knight did lean his head down and take a small lick of the concoction and other than a blegh of disgust, it was perfectly fine. “The mixture is fine, go ahead and take a drink. The longer it sits the worse it’ll get, the sooner medicine is taken the sooner it’ll be soothed.”

Lil’ King unhappily pressed his maw to the bowl, slurping up the liquid with slight noises of disgust, his eyes squeezed shut and he stopped when it was all gone and leaned back with a wine, his tooth still hurt! Did this even work? Did he drink something so tastebud wrenchingly awful for nothing?

“Come on, let’s get you back home before you start feeling a little loopy. Come on KNight let’s get going as well. Maybe if you’re behaved on the way back, I’ll make something for you as a treat~”

The promise of getting a treat was enough to settle Lil’ King down and behave on the trip back toward their home and out of the wilds area. There weren't many dangerous things there, not at least Lil’ King could see, or Knight could see. And so bothered were relieved when their efforts paid off and they were now home, so many hours later. All of them would be eating something in it at least.
