Founded ways to escape The Nothing!
Over time the community has learned measures of survival within the Reignsrest region. It includes filtering light, directing light, and using light to our advantage. The bright early mornings are a powerful tool to force back The Nothing, but in more recent times it has become resisitent to this technology..
Lamp Beacons
Each Tower Beacon is located outside of the cites collecting and transmitting signals too and from one another to keep the region-wide communication network running. The new Lamps have been designed to retain power throughout the day and give a wider, stronger light at night.
Typically found on the outskirts of every city.
Measuring Spike
- The spikes are devices used to continuously measure air temperature, quality, and density. The scanning system will monitor and use solar power to keep its power up.
- Exposure to The Nothing tends to drain the batteries of the software until they lose signal. The Professor and his team will be able to receive the ongoing status of the area until devices are powered down or die from lack of sunlight.
- The spikes should not physically be damaged as long as they are in the ground, but communications are known to be temporary. Few have been recovered from other locations due to The Nothing's spread.
- The bottom compartment extends outward and locks itself into the ground to prevent easy maneuvering. When the spike is place, it will seal itself, so try to get it right the first time!
Found along previous fog lines. They are rare to be rediscovered.
