Changing Seasons, Rising Tides

Story Events 1 May 2023 - 30 June 2023
As change looms on the horizon, trainers of Reignsrest do what they can to prepare.

After the region erupts into chaos, with Cynic and Ethos fighting practically in the streets, the officials and police force of the cities step in to curb the fighting. There is more to this region than your team alignment, and anyone caught fighting (Ethos OR Cynic) will face consequences most severe. Cynic seems to have gained the upper hand, but what that means for the future is unclear at this moment, so all you can do is wait. Perhaps it’s time to reflect, explore, and rest now that the Reignsrest Police are on high alert and battles are all but banned in the cities.

Make use of this forced downtime, or try to circumvent the limitations the Police have put on the region. The choice is yours!

Earn various rewards by completing Event prompts with your characters, and even get a chance to speak with the team leaders and learn more about their organizations by completing unique assignments for them!

Prompts

  1. Spring Cleaning
    1. After essentially being forced to stay inside after the region went on lockdown due to the fighting, you realize your living space isn’t…as clean as it could be. Your Pokemon are looking at you with sad eyes from under a pile of old pizza boxes! Spend some time cleaning up your home, and depict what that means for you and your Pokemon.
      1. Art/Literature accepted. Commissions not accepted.
  1. Ahh, Fresh Air!
    1. You’re not outside looking for a fight! You’re out here looking for…flowers! That’s it! Flowers! The region is beautiful this time of year (Even Wintervale), so spend as much time outside and enjoying that nice weather and cool breeze as you can, now that there’s little danger to it. Make sure to bring your Pokemon!
      1. Art/Literature accepted. Commissions not accepted.
  2. Planning Phase
    1. The battle might be over, but the war has just begun. You’re not fooled by this moment of peace, and you know that the other team is going to strike back at the first chance they get. You spend your days inside planning, and your nights outside scoping out the situation, meeting with shady people or just watching for hints at the next Big Things. You won’t be caught unaware!
      1. Art/Literature accepted. Commissions not accepted.
  3. Mock Battle
    1. Battling might be banned regionwide right now, but they never said anything about fighting your own Pokemon! You train with your own Pokemon either by pitting them against each other or becoming a training dummy. You’re not hurting anyone else officer, you swear!
      1. Art/Literature accepted. Commissions not accepted.
  1. Rising Tides
    1. As part of team Cynic, you know this isn’t the end. Margot has big plans for all of you, for the entire region, and you are working hard to make that happen. Report to the headquarters in Ethermoor to learn more about your assignment, and what the future may hold.

Can be completed ONCE per character. Will include a brief RP with Margot where you can ask questions/gain information about Cynic in character. It will culminate in an assignment unique to your character that can be completed for additional rewards.
      1. Art/Literature accepted. Commissions and collabs not accepted.
  2. Changing Seasons
    1. As part of Team Ethos, you’re worried about the future. There wasn’t exactly a scoreboard present, but you got the sense your team was losing the battle last month based on the chaos in the streets. You have to bolster your strength and prepare well for what may be coming. Report to the headquarters in Grovehart and check in with your knights - see if there’s anything you can do!

Can be completed ONCE per character. Each prompt will be rewarded with a snippet of Ethos history or lore, as well as an assignment that can be completed by your character for additional rewards.
      1. Art/Literature Accepted. Commissions and collabs not accepted.
