Creating Characters
Character and World Lore

Read up on the lore behind humans and pokemon in Reignsrest here!

Understanding the lore will help you decide what kind of character you wish to make, before diving into the technicalities of making them.

Catch up on the world history, Here!

Once you are familiar with the world of Reignrest, you are reading to dive into character creation! The guides under the "Guidebook" tab in the navigation bar will teach you how to use lorekeeper, how to create trainers, and how to level them up through gameplay. Some are listed below for quick convenience.

ARPG Basics
How do ARPGs Work?

If you've never been in an ARPG before, here are some basics to help you understand exactly what it means and some of the terminology behind them.

  • ARPG- (Art Roleplaying Game) Within the context of these groups. ARPGs use artwork and literature as a means of gameplay to level up and participate with user-owned characters. You can buy items, craft, and often earn new characters through various means of gameplay or focus on a single character!
  • Activities- Activities are things such as missions, quests, challenges, and events that a character within the game can partake in. Users can draw or write about their characters in nthese scenarios to earn rewards or experience.
  • Collab- Collab is a shorter term for collaboration. This is a piece of artwork or literature that two or more players have all put effort or work into, and can often be used within the group or done for fun.

Below are some terms specific to Reignsrest, and will be found frequently around the site and group!

  • Wild Roll- This refers to the monthly randomly generated pokemon codes a user can receive by spending 20 credits per roll. They are then able to be turned into characters free of charge.
  • Code- A code refers to a pokemon code, often created from a wild roll, that has not been submitted to design approval and turned into a character yet. These can be traded between users.
  • Nera- The orb of energy that can contain DNA, Elemental, or Attribute data used to make Pokemon and Trainers into Fusions.
  • Fusion- When referring to pokemon: A pokemon that has 2 different DNA fused together, such as Pikachu and Charmander. When referring to Humans: A human that has become fused with pokemon DNA and has pokemon traits.
  • Delta- A pokemon that has had their typings overwritten by an Elemental Nera, making them into a new typing entirely.
Participating In Reignsrest

Once your character is created, you are ready to participate! Below are some of the activities we have available, and a brief description of their importance and purpose within the group so you know where you want to start. These can all be found under the prompts tab in the navigation bar.

Exploration

Explorations are a way for your trainer to experience the various cities of the world - not just the one they live in! By exploring each major city and area, you will receive rewards, and if you explore them all a badge for that character!

Missions

Missions are rotating prompts that a character can complete to receive rewards. These are much like quests, and may include fetch style quests, deliveries, investigations, or many more! They rotate bi-monthly to keep things fresh, and to reflect the state of the world at the time.

Scavenging

Scavenging is done once per week, per player, and awards a bundle of choice from one of the unlocked areas. Each bundle contains rewards found in those locations, as well as some high value items to sell for credits!

Wild Rolls

Wild Rolls can be done up to 5 times per week, per player, and are a good way of obtaining new pokemon codes! They cost 20 credits each, and award a player with randomly generated (and sometimes special) pokemon fusion codes.

Tracking and Capturing

Tracking Nera is a way to capture specific pokemon DNA, which can then be used to make custom fusions or fused trainers.

Tracking Pokemon is a way you can find unique mutations in the wild and battle to capture!

Pokemon capturing is as simple as drawing the fusion you want in an image, and using a pokeball during design approval!
